Happy to Wait.......

I have much more patience than my wife does, especially driving in traffic. Where I don't have much patience at all is when she gets a marketing call. I will finally get her to hang up or not answer at all.

....In the car while my husband goes into the stores
.....to get tests done from doctors
......for my next dental appointment
....for the seasons to change
..... for Santa to bring me gifts 🎁 🥳
.... for my dogs to catch up to me on our walks
..... for other driving who are in a hurry to get ahead of me while driving since I’m no longer in a hurry to go anywhere

However other things I have no patience for but am working on it

I seem to have found an abundance of patience in my old age ... happy to let others forge ahead in everyday situations

Honestly, I don't mind waiting anywhere. I've never been an impatient person, and I firmly believe that my patience and casual approach to many of the stressors in life has helped preserve my youthfulness.

Besides, I always give myself lots of time to fulfill appointments and such whenever I leave the house, and IMO that's the biggest key in helping to reduce stress and feeling more relaxed.

Racing against the clock is never a good thing... it's not good for our health, and it's not good for our happiness.

I don't mind waiting to decompress at the end of scuba diving. I've only had to do it once because I usually don't dive very deep, but the one time I did I had this wonderful period of calm, relaxation and serenity floating effortlessly in the water looking down at the other divers and enjoying the sound of my breathing and the bubbles I was sending out when I exhaled.
