Very happy to hear that about Delta. Last Sept I flew Delta, & there was a senior noncommissioned on the plane in dress uniform. A first class passenger offered to exchange seats with the NCO, but he declined. As the aircraft approached the gate at ATL for arrival, the pilot came on & asked that everyone remain seated until MSgt somebody deplaned and the Casket of the fallen soldier he was accompanying was removed. As he rose to leave people applauded, then everyone was absolutely still until the pilot said to prepare to exit. Than people quietly gathered their things without the usual scramble. I and some other folks were wiping away tears. I couldn't see, but I heard people say that there was an honor guard waiting.
