I love art and have been going to galleries and open studios for many years. I had bought some original art before I met my wife and she and I have continued to buy it from time to time. We have paintings, prints, sculpture, drawings and ceramics. We don't have a whole lot of art overall but we do have enough to decorate our home the way we want to. Since we've pretty much maxed out or display spaces (walls, corners of rooms, etc...) we rarely buy new art these days. We have a few pieces we bought earlier put away because we don't have space for it.
To complicate matters my wife is a glass artist and she occasionally makes things she wants to keep and display so we have some of her artwork around the house as well.
None of what we have is valuable but we enjoy what we have.
The last thing we bought while we were in Greece last year and it was a metal and ceramic sculpture that hangs on the wall.
