Have You Checked Your DNA?

Yes I recently got mine done while they had a special on I already knew my Great grandparents came from Cornwall
mine as reported is 55% Ireland and Scotland ,Ulster Ireland , Leinster Ireland and the biggest thing was Northwestern Europe
i thought What !! however I started looking at my family tree in my fathers side ,and it turns out my GM on my fathers side came from Germany, so I guess that’s where the NW Europe shows up in my DNA
I only met my father a handful of times as an adult
I met my G.P. Twice when I was about 24 years old
Looking up the family tree can be pretty eye opening ..think I’ll put it back in its box and seal the lid :grin:
 

A few years ago my Son was interested in looking into it so he did it. It wouldn't be the same as mine because my Husband is Irish and I am Italian. I have never felt the urge to check mine. One of my cousins researched my Dad's side of the family and another relative did a good deal of research on my Husbands side. I'm satisfied with what I know.
