Have you ever been drunk?

Oh, yeah. Lots of time. I had a regular place at the bar, every night. I even passed out on the bar. I was on my way to being an alcoholic I went back to school, and didn't have time for work, school and beer. The beer lost out. You known all those guys, my age; who had their own seat at the bar, well, they're all dead.

There was a guy where I worked who had his own seat at the lounge across the street from where we worked. Fred was his name. And yes, one day he dropped dead at his desk. Hit the floor like a sack of wet cement so I heard.

I used to be a wine drinker.. but as I get older, I find that any sort of alcohol irritates my stomach.. Beer is nicer... but I can't drink more that two... it fills me up.

Not since Christmas Eve 1971. Where I was working closed early that afternoon. Boss brought out some bottles of Vodka. Began drinking Vodka mixed with 7-UP. Pretty soon, was drinking it straight. They called my wife about 5 p.m. telling her she needed to come get me that I was unfit to drive. Wife was 8 months pregnant with our first child. She drove to my workplace and picked me up. By the time we got back to the house, I was almost passed out. She did get me into the bathroom and into a bathtub. By then, I had vomited all over myself.

We were supposed to go to her folks for Christmas Eve. Once my stomach was empty and only having dry heaves, she got me dressed and back into the car. Drove the 20 miles to her folks. She had to stop three times for me to dry heave along the way. I stumbled into her folks home. Immediately went to a bedroom, fell on the bed, and was out until the next morning. Not the way to celebrate Christmas Eve with the inlaws!!!!!

I was told Christmas morning... when she did speak the few words from her I would hear that day... that what I pulled would NEVER happen again. If it did, there would not be a "third strike". She would not tolerate incidents like that being witnessed by our children. I took her at her word. Have never touched alcohol since, other than communion wine at church. Haven't missed it.

At my 1st job, there was a senior member of the staff who had a well- known fondness for the liquid lunch and then some...
One day there was a huge commotion, people running, turns out this guy was passed out cold on the elevator floor when it stopped on our floor!

I was only drunk 2xs and it was when I was on my Honeymoon. I won a bottle of champagne for my legs at the pool, and the second time my husband and I met another couple at our hotel. We went to a club and they had an Elvis impersonator. I was soo busy watching him I never noticed the waiter refilling our drinks. That was the last time I ever had a drink and it was a very long time ago.

I didn't drink alcohol until my late 40s and even then only the odd glass of wine and Bailey's. The one and only time I was completely drunk was a couple of years ago, I was 74 and in Russia with Lisa at an outdoor party in a friends country house. The party was going well and Russians do drink a lot of spirits, it's not a myth, ......anyway I got carried away with the locally made vodka and eventually some whisky got added into the mix. When it came to the time to leave, because it was a mile walk to the train station and I could hardly stand, we were given a lift to the station. We missed the first train because despite Lisa's best efforts she couldn't drag me onto it. I forget the rest but we made the second train and I evidently threw up twice and surprisingly the guards were kind and helpful, I guess they are used to it........needless to say I have never repeated the experience and apart from the odd beer glass tipple of rum don't drink at all.....so I have learnt my lesson though rather late in life

Two or three times, over half a century ago, and never since. Lessons Learned! Nowadays, I rarely ever drunk alcoholic beverages.

Have you ever been drunk? Not 'feeling good". Sloshed right out of your mind.?

Once for me when I retired. They had a party for me and they were serving liquers.

I can't remember ever been so disoriented and out of the world so to speak.

I had my car but didn't drive home. Picked up the car the next day.
We had a retirement party at our place, and my wife said that I got drunk!! I did not think so, but there was a lot that I did not remember!!
