Have you ever been physically sick when given bad news?

Having worked Material Handling Maintenance Career for Industrial Factories I got used to constant bad news.
Then after 25 years, I said to the Boss, Give the Overtime to the young, they need it. He said he felt the same way too.

Its sort of like carrying a heavy load of stuff. Shrug it off is my thought. .... :coffee: ....

When the Movie Alien was first released in the cinemas in 1979....I was working in a 3 screen cinema.. the big releases came to cinema 1 which held 1000 people.. and we'd get a full house every night of the week for however long we were showing the film..

Before Alien got to us the reviews were full of the horror stories how people were vomitting in the aisle, how pregnant women were going into labour at the shock... so we were dreading this...

We had it for 6 weeks.. 42 x 1000 people... and not one single person was sick.. or any pregnant women went into labour.

As the paramedics were working on my husband, I KNEW he was dead, just knew it. I started coughing and couldn't stop. I was whooping so hard I thought I was going to tear my throat out and one of the paramedics came over and started tending to me. I waved him off and someone brought me a glass of water. I eventually stopped coughing. I have no idea why the coughing started unless I had thrown up into my throat.

I very nearly passed out when seeing my son's dislocated shoulder being popped back into place. Had to lie down on the floor. Same thing happened when they wheeled my mother back into her room after broken hip surgery. She looked like death warmed over.

My BP plummets from emotional shocks.
