Have you ever been pulled over by a cop - if so what were you doing?

Thanks, and now I see where that is stated in the article. I'm a little less ignorant now.
Nonsense Asp, that's just not knowing one fact out of trillions out there, period.

I never drove a car but one night my husband and I were out and a Police
Officer pulled us over. As soon as I saw him I recognized him as the boy
I was dating years ago when I met my husband. As he got closer he said "I knew it was you as soon as I saw you dancing. I didn't realize anyone could see me sitting down dancing because it was dark. Then he said to my husband "I wish it was legal to give you a ticket for stealing my girlfriend, but sadly it isn't. So I stopped
you just to say Hi. I will never forget that night.

I've had many in my early years, I had a lead foot when it came to driving. This ticket really got me mad. In the early 70's while I was stationed in California traveling on the freeway. The US had just decreased the speed limit on the interstates in all States to 55 MPH. I was caught by CHP radar doing 56 MPH. Yes I got a ticket and had to pay the fine. The City was Westminster, California, I will never forget it.

Ditto on the speed traps...Most Troopers here give the CDL drivers a pass unless the violation is excessive..Yokel locals do not!!

Back when I was 18 I was driving somewhere at night, got lost and ended up in an industrial complex where the speed limit was, I think, 25 MPH. I guess the reason I was speeding was because I was getting a little panicky at being lost. Anyway, a cop pulled me over for speeding and said, "I hate to give you this ticket". I just said, "do what you have to do", or something to that effect. He kept saying 2 or 3 more times how he really didn't want to give me a ticket and I started to get nervous that he wanted money or "special favors" (if you get my meaning) to get out of the ticket. Since I didn't have any money and I wasn't about to do him any "favors", he just sighed, gave me the ticket and left. I think I escaped something that would have been a good plot for Law and Order, SVU.
