Have you ever given money to political campaign?

First time was when I was young and idealistic, to the McGovern campaign. Some since, but like fuzzybuddy, not bigly.

My Husband and I went to events by each Party , usually dinners that we had to pay for,but we never sent in any contributions to a candidate. Of course the money for the dinner went to someone I'm sure.

McCain 2000 - about $100 bucks in small increments over time
Obama 2008 - about $200 bucks in small increments over time
Obama 2012 - about $100 bucks in small increments over time
Bernie Sanders 2016 - about $500 bucks in small increments over time

YES
First to Tom Cotton when he ran for senate. I went to a breakfast with him and gave $100 plus a smaller amount later.
In the Republican primary I first gave a small amount to Rand Paul, then a small amount to Ted Cruz and finally I gave $300 to Donald J. Trump.

I almost always vote Republican, but lean Libertarian as to the size and scope of government. I'm not religious and I am pro choice on the abortion issue. Kinda of mixed up I guess.

The only political party I've ever joined or paid any money to is the UK Labour party back in the 1980s (though my politics has moved on since).

I hear alot about "Liberals" in the USA as being a supposedly bad thing to be associated with but I guess if I lived in the US I'd identify with them perhaps. I doubt there is much correlation between Liberals over there and those in the UK Liberal party (or Liberal Democrats to give them there correct term), but they were once a big force here and a Liberal leader in my lifetime called Joe Grimond had a high reputation.
