Yes, yellow fin, caught off the Mississippi delta. Not too far from where the infamous BP oil spill happened.tuna?
Nice looking fish, what kind of mackerel are they? Good to eat? I think they are probably related to tuna, look a lot like them. In the Gulf of Mexico we have two mackerel commonly caught Spanish and King. The Spanish are smaller and just so so eating. The Kings get a lot bigger and, I think anyway, are much better eating. My husband caught some in that wave last week
as i typed that, i couldn't help giggling at how silly that sounded. but seriously, compare sardines and say flounder/fluke on fishines. i can only think of one fish that's fishier than sardines and that would be anchovies. and something like flounder or tilapia are all the way on the other end of the scale... fishinessless.Wayyyyyyy to fishy.
Yep!![]()
Yellow fin tuna? That’s a huge fish. Are there other types of tuna you catch? How hard are they to catch? Can you pull them in by yourself with a regular fishing rod?Yes, yellow fin, caught off the Mississippi delta. Not too far from where the infamous BP oil spill happened.

No I completely understood what you were saying and agree wholeheartedly. I am not a fan of anchovies either for the same reason.as i typed that, i couldn't help giggling at how silly that sounded. but seriously, compare sardines and say flounder/fluke on fishines. i can only think of one fish that's fishier than sardines and that would be anchovies. and something like flounder or tilapia are all the way on the other end of the scale... fishinessless.
