Have you ever square danced?

Hell no! It's against my religion! I was raised on American and British rock and roll! One does not square dance to Chuck Berry or the Dave Clark Five. Just the idea! I must lie down for a while. This has been just too much for me!

Not only danced, But played for quite a few. Grandfather had a Square dance Band, His Uncle was a well-known area Fiddler and caller.

We learned to square dance in primary school. Mum taught me how to swing so that the boys could not swing me over. My favourite folk dance was the Scottish dance Strip the Willow

Beyond the twist and super slow dancing, where you just kinda stand there and grind on each other while swaying a little bit, I never could dance for squat....I've got more left feet than a centipede.
