Have you ever watched Harry Potter films?

Read the Harry Potter books twice. Watched the films several times with my grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed them. Also been to Harry Potter World twice with my granddaughters. Was meant to go for a third visit but Covid came along and put a stop to that. Fingers crossed we will go next year. Not read or watched Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones.
There's a Harry Potter World? How fun; your grandchildren must love that. :)

I call it Harry Potter World but it's correct title is Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.... The Making of Harry Potter. Yes, my granddaughters loved it and so did I. Loved walking round the various sets and seeing all the props etc. https://www.wbstudiotour.co.uk/explore-the-tour/sets/
Well, its correct title is a freaking mouthful. I like "Harry Potter World" better; that's what I'd call it too. Can you imagine children asking, "Can we go to 'Warner Brothers Studio Tour London, The Making of Harry Potter?' Please!!!" 😂

you can.. it's near my house..just a short distance away.. however have you seen what they're charging for a tour of the studios ?.. not worth it..better off going to Kings Cross station, and seeing 9 . 3/4 Hogwart Express platform for Free.:D I'll take you, it's only a few stops on the train from where I live

Cool! Did you ever go to a filming?
No because I'm not interest in Fantasy books.. but I've been in the studios when filming wasn't taking place.. and also at Kings X station many times where the Hogwort Express departed.. and there's the HP store there too.. it's always Mobbed out with tourists

Wife & children were all fans of the series. Went to one or two with the wife. While attending a 'Lord of the Rings' episode (one of the three) I leaned over to wife and whispered, 'When does 'Fluffy' appear?'

Harry Potter Universe never interested me.

I love the Lord of the Rings universe, both the books and movies. I started watching TV series and will hold off judgment until a couple of more episodes.

Never read GoT books but I did enjoy the first six season of the HBO series. After that much time invested in the series I did slog through the final two seasons although I thought they were not very good.

When the Harry Potter books came out here in U.S. they were originally focused on young teens, alot of adults started reading them, including me. I read all 7 thought they were well written, something different
I saw all the movies as well,at the time I never heard of the 3 young lead actors , Daniel Radcliffe"Harry", Emma Watson' Hermonie' Rupert Gint'Ron Weasley' I did recognize some of the well established British actors in the cast e.g. Maggie Smith,Richard Harris'Dumbledore"{ when he died Michael Gambon took over the role},Robbie Coltrane, Alan Rickman,Julie Waters

I've seen bits and pieces of the Harry Potter films on TV. The first one looked like a bit of fun. Couldn't get interested in the others.

I've also seen the Lord of the Rings movies on TV. I've read the books a couple times. The movies took some liberties with the books, but that's to be expected. I thought they spent too much time on and overdid the battles. I guess that's to be expected too. Visually I thought they were well done.

Never saw any of the Game of Thrones. I'm not much into gore.
I remember taking some of my grandchildren to see the first Harry Potter movie. I thought it was wonderful and truly magical. I particularly like the casual magic of the dining hall and the shifting stair cases. From that time on I took myself to see all of the films in a picture theatre to fully appreciate the cinematic artistry.

Ditto for Lord of the Rings. I had read the trilogy but not The Hobbit. The effects, scenes and characters were magnificent and having visited New Zealand I loved the way it was filmed using NZ backdrops. When I later took a cruise around NZ I took a LOTR shore tour at Wellington to see a couple of outdoor locations and to visit the Weta Cave where post filming work was done to create JRR Tolkien's world.

Game of Thrones did not appeal to me. After watching just one episode I put it in the same category as Vikings - too brutal for my taste in entertainment and it seemed like a mish mash of multiple genres of legend. On the other hand, I did like the British series The Last Kingdom, that was also quite violent because I was rather fascinated by that period of history that I knew little about. It stimulated me to learn more about Alfred the Great and the unification of the various small kingdoms. My maiden name, Bowditch, originated during Alfred's reign.

I’ve read a few of the Harry Potter books, and seen all of the films. What a pity that schools in my area cannot teach units on the books, because the kids love ‘em! Religious fundamentalists here regard anything taught in a classroom that involves magic or witches to be “promoting satanism in the schools.”

I could never get beyond The Hobbit in the Lord of the Rings series. You could say that I got bored of the rings!

I was late to the Game of Thrones party, but binge-watched all seasons of it one summer. I loved the rich medieval flavor and atmosphere of it; good acting, too. I’m also usually not into fantasies either, but when they threw in realistic dragons and zombies, I was hooked. It doesn’t get much better than watching dragons burning up “white walker“ (zombie) armies like flying flamethrowers! My life is complete now… 😸

Have the HP books, enjoyed the films.

Didn't like the books Lord of the Rings, nor Dune. Have seen the LotR and Dune films on TV as Spouse loves the books and movies. We're not fans of George Martin books so didn't bother to see the series.

Both of us love the Marvel Comics Universe (MCU) movies, although we'll probably call it quits once Phase 4 is over. Neither of us are into the newer/later superheros, altho our GenX friends are very excited about them.

After reading Chamber of Secrets in 2002, my husband and I were hooked. We fought over who was going to read the next book first. So now we have all the books, all the movies. I own a Harry Potter doll, a Harry Potter game, and my assorted keys hang from a Golden Snitch keychain. What can I say? I'm just wild about Harry!

Nope...Never read 'em, never watched 'em.. and the studios where they were all made is literally just a few miles from my house.. and in the town where I lived before this house..:D

Someone told me to just watch the first Harry Potter. They claimed the rest were just more of the same.
I have read and watched The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
I liked it better than Game of Thrones, although I enjoyed that more than I thought I would.
