Have you had a Colonoscopy??

@PeppermintPatty I did not see this upsetting news until just minutes ago, and then I read all the posts from other members, showing their concern. This really saddens me today, because I can only imagine how you must feel until more is known. I'm sincerely hoping all will turn out well and this will soon be behind you.

I'm Very sad that you've had these results, today, @PeppermintPatty
I feel sad, with you, and for you, atm.😖😭

It's true that today's dr is smart to know their own limitation, which is likely just to do the routine test.
I'm sorry yours wasn't one. ☹️

You will have a specialist, who will be able to proceed, and it's at least better than if you'd waited any longer. 💗💟❣️💗❣️

I've just re-read your post , Patty,
And I'm glad they were very nice toward you , today, as you deserve, of course;

and I'm glad this dr got you scheduled himself, so there would not be any further delay and confusion, for that reason.

I wish you didn't have to be going through this. 😒🫤🙁💌💌💌

I've had a few and woke up and watched one, no big deal. I just hate the prep and not eating. Just had one recently. I hate that part so much I once told my doctor I would never get another one😂

Have you been able to resume eating some of your regular foods, that you enjoy?💗
Or are you needing to have more gentle foods atm?🍛☕🍵

And I'm also wondering how far a drive is, when you go to Halifax?
I’m eating foods I enjoy now. I wasn’t told to change my diet at all. I’m taking restoraLAX which helps with the blockage. I’m eating a lot of homemade soups.

Hallifax is 3 1/2 hours away.

Oh Patty, I got a shock when I read about your colonoscopy. My friend had the same thing happen to him, He had to see a specialist, and they did a follow-up colonoscopy, and he did have to large polyp removed with great success. He has to see the Doctor again in February next year. When I had mine done, they did find cancer in the small intestine, and I had an operation within 3 weeks. They did key-hole surgery, no pain and home in 4 days. Had a follow up colonoscopy and all clear and to see the Doctor in 3 years' time. Sending positive thoughts your way. 💞

Thanks Oscash,
Did you have a general anesthesia or were you wide awake.?

Hey Patty…let us remember that this is a textbook example of why specialists exist. We all hope we never need one (specialist) but we’re sure glad they’re there when we do. Just keep on truckin’ and let them do what makes them special, yes?

p.s. I just had a colonoscopy myself on Monday & they found 9 polyps (YIKES!) but only one large one.
I hope your story and mine might serve as the kick in the butt sometimes needed to convince folks to make it in for their own colonoscopy, regardless of what hurdles they might have to jump to make it happen.😬

My biggest worry is that I can’t have a general anesthesia. Can they preform one of these with another type sedative?
Don't fret .... Your biggest worry is the PREP.....

DW can't have Propofol, the main stuff they use. So she got Versed for her scope and did fine.
A buddy from Onterio once said its not a big deal.... its just a tiny camera.....
But its the satellite truck that follows it......
