have you seen the trends of celebrities??

Things must be tough for celebrities 🤣 i keep seeing more in commercials revamping game shows doing podcasts odd projects for streaming / netfix whatever...or just about anything.....
1. to stay in the public eye?
2. need the money to support their lifestyle ?
3 Bored like the rest of us?

I can honestly say I have not been swayed to buy something because _(insert name here)_____was endorsing it........
but using celebrities must work because every week I see a new one....
When I see a semi- celebrity or used to be ..... doing an ad I feel sorry for them...................... often imagining they NEED the dough as they might not have planned or invested well for future..... I know I am making an assumption but it does cross my mind......

Sports or TV show etc can be short careers ...... and many from what I have read, many do not handle their large salaries well or they expect a much longer career...

Yes, I think exactly the same thing. There are many people you don't see for a while, then they suddenly pop up in a tv ad. I always think, 'What a comedown'. People very often start their careers by doing ads, hoping it's just the first rung on the ladder to fame.
However, I think George Clooney (Nescafe) and Kevin Bacon(bt) are just greedy, they surely don't need the money.

I agree there are some just taking all offers regardless ........
I just wonder if some of the past their prime........... just have bills to pay......:unsure:
 
Kevin Bacon needs the money. He lost it all to Madoff. He & his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, both work their butts off and will take anything. How do you explain her new horrible comedy Call Your Mother I think it's called. Awful, just awful. I know friends of theirs.

her family is loaded and she is an heiress to a large fortune..... she just thinks she is funny and she is not in my opinion
 
They’re in the entertainment business because they crave an audience.

Not sure of this - I believe they have to do a certain amount of work to maintain their ‘union’ status and healthcare.

Commercials pay extremely well....

You're absolutely right. It may be why some celebs do the most outrageous things, just to remind us that they are still in the land of the living and worthy of our attention.
