Of course, see your doctor. Why didn't I think of that? I have gone to her many times with various issues and all she tells me is "You're getting older. You have to expect these things." Or else she's on vacation. Too bad she's the only doctor in convenient driving distance. Believe me I have looked for another doctor, but most aro
und here aren't taking new patients.
Deb, that's nonsense. When are you going to stop making excuses and take care of yourself? Chances are very good that you are having small strokes that are affecting your brain and your speech. I recommend you take the advice of others here, other people who seem to care more about you than
you.
Get yourself to a doctor who can do an evaluation on your brain health, strokes are called 'brain attacks'. A very common tell-tale sign is inability to speak properly, I know, it happened to my mother in law. You say it happened to you at your church? When it happened, what did the people you were talking with say? I can't even imagine that they said nothing. What did they say?
Like Olivia said, if you refuse to admit that you can see a doctor where you live, then go to the emergency room at a hospital and tell them what's been happening. They will make sure you get the tests and care that you need.
As others here have already said, YOU have to take care of yourself, especially since you live alone and don't rely on anyone. When you ask advice here, you get it from folks who are really concerned about your safety and well-being. You should feel good about getting sincere advice when you ask for it, it doesn't get any better than that.
Do what's right Deb, get checked out asap....no excuses. Let us know what the doctor's find out. :girl_hug:
