Today, I got word that Ina has been very sick. She has been having seizures again, and her doctor is changing her medications to see if that helps. Please keep Ina in your prayers, and I will update everyone if I hear any news. Thank you!
 

Will keep her in my thoughts, send her my get well wishes please. I understand that complication very well as I have been taking medicine for years now to deal with it too. Big hug to Ina.
 
Thanks for letting us know, very sad news. Will be thinking of Ina and sending warm healing thoughts her way. I hope the change in medication helps her.
 
Update on Ina:

I just got an update on Ina today. "She is still having seizures; but not any worse than has happened before, and she hopes that the medicine change will help with the seizures and brain fog that goes along with that.

Her grandson was so worried that he took both her iPhone and IPad, but now she has them back. She is not going to be back for a while yet; but she thanks everyone for the prayers, and sends her love to everyone. She will posting when she feels better, and we should not worry".
 
Sounds like encouraging news, and that she is being monitored closely, which is good. Sure hoping the best for her. I remember when she was a regular poster here. She seems like such a kind and thoughtful person, and has had more than her share of bad luck in the last few years. Thanks for the update.
 
I am passing along Ina's recent update:


"I wish to thank each of you for all the prayers. I believe no matter how your faith is designated, good is still good and evil is still evil, and as my Native American grandmother always told me, "The Creator gave us many paths and chance to reach him. She also taught me the value and strength of prayer, so again I thank each of you.


"I'm still on bed rest right now, but it sure beats a long stay in a hospital, which is where my doctor wanted me. I convinced the doctor that I'd never rest in a hospital after I experienced three grand mal seizures the last time I was in one. All because not one of the staff paid attention to my medical history.


"The doctor explained to Bobert how to deal with the seizures, and I'm blessed with neighbors that agreed to drive me back and forth to my doctor and to the neurological testing center. They still can't figure out why I have seizures.


"But I had to promise the doctor I would give up all my activities, and just veg out. So Bobert confiscated my iPhone and iPad until my doctor said I could join the world again.


"To tell the truth, the meds had me sleeping most of the time, and you can bet I let the doctor know how much easier that is to do at home without all the disturbances of hospital lights and noises, and the comings and goings of the nurses".
 
Thanks for the update Meanderer. I think I remember Ina using medical marijuana for pain some time ago, it's been proven to help with epileptic seizures and the form that does not contain the THC that produces the 'high', I understand is successfully being used for children with seizures. She's probably thought of this already, though I don't know if it's available where she lives. I wish her the best and hope she's back on her feet soon.
 
Best wishes Ina for a speedy recovery. You're wise to stay out of the hospital if you can, it's so impossible to sleep in one with all the lights and noises. Just rest, get well and get back to us.
