Health Updates for Hospitalizations, Procedures & Tests

Recently had to get back on anxiety medication. I was struggling pretty bad.
My lung medicine (roflumilast) has been causing me to lose weight which is a blessing for now. But I'll hafta keep an eye on it. I'm not scheduled for another pulmo appt til next spring. I'm hoping he'll do another lung function test to see how the lung med is doing.

I have an appointment to go over my annual physical next week. The last time I got very little information. i am asked "do you have any questions?" My question should be "Why do I consult a professional when I am expected to do all the work?" This might be a slight exaggeration but ths is how it feels.

hopefully they'll give you the info you want.

went to eye doc today. Good news, my macular degeneration is stable however, my right eye with the cataract won't get better with surgery . Then i was given a choice of an injection in my left eye to try and stop the vision loss. No guarantees, and shot every 6 weeks. Has anyone had this done?

got my shot but it's not helping so i will likely hafta make an appt with the ortho surgeon after i get my taxes done.

No ortho surgeon right now. Not enough time off available do they already told me if I run out of time off they'll replace me.

Trying rest and tens unit therapy.

I have Myopic Macular Degeneration. The rite eye is wet and I have no reliable vision in it. The left eye is dry, and I have less that 50% vision there. I did get the eye needle jabs every 6 weeks in the wet eye and there was no change in the months I went through it.

Finally I asked the Retinal Specialist if it would ever bring me back any of my vision at all. He said no, but it would not get worse. I said what is the point of any more eye jabs, since I have no functional vision to begin with? I asked to discontinue the eye jabs, and he said yes, that is an option, but he wants to see me every 6 weeks. I said okay and that is that.

No more anxiety and worry counting the days til the needle appears. Now, this is my experience, so your's may differ. In any case, I hope your journey is easier and more hopeful.
