Hi there! Call me "TJ". They made me register as "Teejay", cuz they wanted at least three letters in my handle. Anyways, I'm totally new to this forum and looking forward to making a whole lotta friends! Currently, I'm a member of a forum based in England, n' all everyone wants to post about on there, is whatever's ailing them. Gets on yer're wick after a while! I mean, I'm 71, n' got plenny of health issues too, but I don't wanna spend all of my time whining about them. I'd much rather try n' have a little fun, n' friendly discussion with like-minded folks that are circa my age.

Soooo ... a little about me: I live in Southern Ontario, Canada, off the western end of Lake Ontario, and roughly half-way betwixt Toronto and Niagara Falls. I was married for 48 years to my forever soulmate, Sue. She passed away on me in August of 2020. She n' me collaborated on producing three wonderful daughters, all in their 40's now, and one of whom has moved in with me, to help this rickety old man out a little.

I'm an animal lover, and have two kitty-cats---"Commander Chakotay of the Starship Voyager" (13) and "CJ" (9). My daughter, Mel has one cat, "Mouse" and a 5-ish month-old puppy named, "Buddy". He is a mixture of three breeds---not a single one of which I can remember right now. But I do know he's gonna be BIG!

Right now, as we speak, that monster "once in a generation" storm they've bin predicting, that's gonna ruin Christmas for a lotta folks, is just now starting on schedule. It's not supposed to be quite as bad around where I'm at, as it will be for other areas. But we shall see.

Looks like I'm running out of space, so I'll just say, if ya wanna just engage in friendly chat or good-natured, light-hearted banter, then say hello to me, n' let's me n' you be buddies, eh?

PS: I just wrote the above post whilst at the same time, eating leftover chicken wings (yes, with my hands) that my daughter refuses to eat! Not a bad job on screen, but you should see my keyboard right now! Okay, that's all I wanted to tell ya. You can stop reading this if ya want. Okay?

Great introduction! I agree that complaining is a buzz kill (to use the young people phrase).

This forum has a couple of good threads about humor that make it fun. And few of the ladies do their very best to keep it lively. God bless em.

Great intro TJ ! I got a kitten...well she got me..Labor day weekend, after she hung out on my patio for 2 nights. Vet thinks she was just 5 weeks old at that time. Anyway, you will find lots of interesting, informative, fun and maybe even quirky posts here  but it's all good. Just be careful that you don't get addicted like I did. There are many wonderful, supportive people here (if you decide you do need to complain just a little :)) so I hope you enjoy SF as much as I do.

Welcome to the forum, TJ! I'm in T.O. but lived in N.F. for several years back in the late 70's/early 80's. Our
daughter was born there. You've got a lot of good forests and trails out that way, that we miss.

Welcome to the forums TJ! We're in eastern Washington state (just under British Columbia); both of us are retired, more or less.

Thanks for telling us so much about yourself. Sorry to hear about your wife, but it sounds like you have a nice, full life! ❤️
