Hello Everybody! It's ME!

Well, hello, Me!

from Sunny California. Except right now. Right now, it's really foggy.

PS, I'm not Everybody. I'm just one of them.
Hi Murrmurr! Thanks for the welcome, eh? California, eh? Lucky you! As we (I) speak (type), we're having a wee (not-so-wee) blast of wintry winds! Blew our month-old backyard fence down! There's a mini snowdrift just inside our (closed) garage door, n' it's about twenny degrees Fahrenheit in my bedroom! It's times like this I wonder, what the hell am I doing in Canada? Anyways, thanks again, n' have a merry, sunny Christmas, eh?

Welcome Teejay.
I'm also a member on the UK forum that you mentioned.
Hiya Purwell! Yeap, I recognize that moniker! Of course, when I said everybody does nowt but whine about wot's ailing em n' stuff, I meant everybody except you! Yer're not gonna snitch on me, are ya? :( Methinks this place may be a tad more funner, eh wot? Thanks for the welcome, eh? Look forward to seeing you around (both fori) n' getting to know ya better! N' Merry Christmas, by the way! :)

Hello Chet! Thanks for the welcome from good ol' Pennsylvania! Know the I-79 part of yer're state very well! Beautiful drive that me n' my late Missus, Sue made many times. She was born in Pittsburgh. Still a few of her surviving relatives there, including her 85-year-old Uncle Ron, who I just spoke with this morning. He's a retired police officer. Was good to hear that ol' Pittsburghese accent again! I miss that around here. Me n' Sue were married 48 years, n' she never lost it (the accent). Thanks again, eh? Look forward to seeing you out n' about in the forum.

PS: Merry Christmas to you and yours! :)

Hi hearlady! Thanks for the welcome, eh? Me n' my beloved n' muchly missed late wife, Sue have driven through your beautiful state on our way to n' back from Florida to our home here in Canada. Looking forward to interacting with you n' all the other folks, once I get used to things around here. Hope you n' yours have a Merry Christmas, eh? :)

Hello TeeJay
I live in the same area of Ontario and yes we had a stormy blast but not too bad now and yes while we have a lot of discussions on health problems and other gruesome stuff we also have a lot of fun..... some of it quite silly.

Hi there, Lewkat! N' thanks for the welcome! New Jersey, eh? Wow, there's folks from all over the place in here! Bin to the States many, many times. But never out your way. Bin to Buffalo n' Niagara Falls (cross-border shopping for A1-Sauce), Pittsburgh (where my wife was born) many, many times ... n' Daytona Beach ... once flying (in an airplane), n' twice driving (once in a car, n' once in a truck). As per yer're welcome message, I got me a good feeling about this place, enjoyment-wise and intend to stick around. So, thanks again, n' I'll be seeing ya! Oh, and have a Merry Christmas, eh? :)

Hi Mizmo! I'm in Hamilton, up on the West Mountain. I guess me n' you got the same weather going on outside, eh? Welp, my back fence is gone with the wind! Actually, it's lying in pieces in the adjacent parking lot. Thing of it is, they only just put it up new about a month ago! Blithering Mickey Mouse Shoemakers! Fortunately for me, I live in a townhouse complex, and getting it rebuilded is not my el problemo! I suspect you may be a cat lover. If true, then it's highly likely me n' you's gonna be friends! Looking forward to figgering this place out, n' joining the community! So, thanks for the nice welcome, n' hope you have a Merry Christmas, weather permitting! :)

Oh tuff luck about the fence but as you say not your problem just an annoyance. My daughter lives in Hamilton and today we did our Christmas lunch without too much problem. Tomorrow will be a quiet day for me and that is jest fine.
The wind is blowing hard and my balcony doors and windows are playing some kind of Winter Concerto but nothing coming down so that helps. Merry Christmas, hohoho an all that stuff.

Hey there, oldpop! Thanks muchly for the welcome! I'm an old pop too (71). Except two of my grown daughters call me, "Dad", n' the youngest one calls me, "Papa" mostly ... or "Daddy" if she needs money. The grandkids all call me, "Grumpy", but there's a story behind that, which I'll probably tell at a later date. Soooo, yer're from Inner Space, eh? Does that mean yer're Australian? Had me a slew of Aussie cyber-pals down through the years, n' every one of em's either got or had a wild n' wonky sense o' yumor, which is just my cup o' tea! But if yer're not an Ozzie well, that's okay too. Gotta go answer some more welcomes now, but I'll probly see you out n' about in the forum, once I've figgered out all the bells n' whistles. A Merry Christmas to ya, oldpop! N' thanks again, eh?

Ya know Mizmo, I wasn't too overly surprised when my daughter told me the fence was gone, ker-FLAPPO! (MY sound-effect, not hers). I know enough about things-construction-speaking-wise to rest assured this thing was reeeeeeally badly builded! N' I pointed out my concerns both before n' after, to the King of the Board, who is a friend of mine. But friend or not, he still didn't heed my sage advice n' actually SAY something to the perpetrators! And don't get me started in re: the brand-new concrete retaining wall they erected, so's to build the fence atop of!!

Anyways ... I wish you a nice, peaceful and merry-as-possible Christmas. Hoping mine is the same. Be seeing ya. :)

Thanks DM. Hope your holiday is going well.

You may not have been to my state, but certainly close by.
;)

@Disgustedman Don't fall for that TV propaganda. "Cold weather coming down from Canada bla bla." We Canadians do not send our bad weather to the USA. We keep it all right here where it belongs.

Hi @TeeJay . I was in and near Hamilton for about half my life. Home of many world-class comedians, including you. Welcome!

tee jay
have a merry christmas i am from georgia
Hiya, twinkles! Thanks so much for the welcome n' Yuletide wishes! Georgia, eh? Beautiful state, what we've seen of it! If I recall right, me n' my beloved late Missus stopped for the night in a place called, Sun City, on our way to Daytona Beach. Had a great steak dinner at a restaurant near the hotel. Forget the name of either, but the people were real friendly! :)

Hello, Northern Light and (I think) Disgustedman! N' thanks for the welcome(s), eh? I've bin here, or near here since I was seven. Came over from England (on a boat---a BIG boat). Yes, I had adult accompaniment. I'm 71 now, n' most likely ain't going no place else. The most famous comedian from these here parts that comes to mind, is Martin Short, from down Dundas way. Meself, I'm up on the West Mountain. As per the cold weather (blah, blah, blah), well yeah, it IS acturely heading doon to the States from Canada. But it ain't like we're INVENTING it n' then telling it where to GO, or nothin'! If I had me druthers, I'd like for it to go back where it blithering CAME from! I mean ... eh? Anyways, I'll be seeing you(s) in the forum! Thanks again! :)

Hi there! Well now, ain't that a lousy view, eh? Kinda looks like MY back yard, except mine's a lot smaller, n' I don't own no picnic tables. But hey ... half my fence got gone with the wind! And they only just built it brand new, about a month ago! Disgusting! DISGUSTING, I TELL YA! Not onny that, but me n' my daughter had to stay home for Xmas, cuz it's too blithering cold n' windy ootside! ... ALSO disgusting! In short, my new friend, you can just cry me a river, wherever you are! But you seem like a friendly n' fun dude. N' that's eggZACKLY the kind of fellow-peeps I'm hoping to find on here! Oh, and thanks again for the welcome, eh? :);)
