Hello, I'm Barbara and I'm happy to have found this forum. :) I live a relatively simple life in the Finger Lakes Region of NY where farms, wineries, breweries, lakes, waterfalls, parks, and natural places are plentiful. I retired 3 years ago at age 63 due to job loss during the pandemic and now enjoy working part-time.

"When all is said and done we are all just walking each other home."

Thanks for your welcome and retirement wishes. Ontario, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont are all lovely, too. I'd like to pass through them all again :)

Retirement has included the adoption of a 4ish-year-old RedBone Coonhound mix from the local humane society, a year ago. I always imagined a coonhound like the sleepy one on 'HeeHaw.' Nope, she's not like that. She keeps me preferably upright and on alert at all times when she's not snoozing.

I look forward to seeing a photo of your coonhound mix. She sounds adorable. You won't be able to post images right away. Sadly, we can't have dogs in our condo. We live vicariously through our daughter's female Corgi :)
