Well, what a fun forum you have here. So, a little about me to add to the mix - We live in a little beach town, Del Mar, about 30 miles north of the Mexican Border - only about 6000 of us here but we are amongst a series of little beach towns in our area and they seem to run into each other, so where one ends and the next begins is often a puzzlement. We have 2 children, son and daughter - son just was married this past summer in our back yard - right where he used to play with his buddies as a wee one, and right where his sister was married 23 years ago. We've been in this house for 42 years, a rarity in our part of the country.
We have two fabulous grandsons, one in college, the other in middle school. As far as careers, I spent the first part of my career life as an elementary school teacher and middle part as a stay at home mom, and this latter part as a medical text editor. My husband spent his career life in the field of microbiology and is now retired. We are down to only one pet now, Eugene THE cat who runs the place, but over the years have had just about everything that is considered a pet living at our house - from snakes to guinea pigs and everything in between!
