Hello from the Pacific Northwest!

I have just registered so I don't know my way around yet.

My name is Cookie and I live in Kent WA. I moved to Kent in 2003 with my husband, but he died in 2012 so here I am with my adult daughter and her boyfriend. We all drove across the country from Florida!

I don't drive (my husband did the driving and my daughter has the car) so I am hoping to make some online friends here.

Welcome from me too Cookie. It's only 6.40pm over here so we often have disjointed conversations to allow for some sleep time.

If you like to chat, even to argue the toss about the state of society, the nation and the world, you'll find plenty of willing partners online.

Di and I argue all the time but we have great respect for each other, if not for each other's opinions on some issues.

Wow! That was quite a drive from Florida to the Northwest, but gave you a chance to see our beautiful country. I live on the east coast in North Carolina, but hear the Pacific Northwest is beautiful.

We are glad to have you with us, just make yourself right at home.

Welcome, Cookie ! I am a transplant also, but went the opposite direction. I am an Idaho native, have also lived in the Kent/Auburn/Renton area for many years, and then near Chehalis in the Mossyrock area.
Now, I live in Alabama so I can be close to my daughter.
I don't miss all the rain, but I do miss the awesome views of Mt.Rainier, and St. Helens .
There is always a lot going on here, so I am sure you will enjoy the group !
