Here's to March 1st, 2024!

I had a good laugh when I asked the AI to make a nice image of March 1st. With a slogan it chose. Anyway you get the idea, it's the thought that counts. :)
 

I am down here in Florida at my friend’s home for the next few weeks and we have had beautiful weather since I got here on Monday. It’s been in the upper 70’s to low 80’s, which is perfect for golfing.

Got tickets to see the Bellamy Brothers at 3:30 and ZZ Top at 7:30 on Monday at the Strawberry Festival. I also bought tickets for the Phillies, Yankees, Tigers and Red Sox down in Fort Myers. Going to be a great vacation. Not to mention golfing. My wife will probably want to play a few rounds. I don’t mind playing with her, but she is so slow that we usually end up allowing other players go ahead of us. You would think she was playing in the LPGA.

We drove down. On Monday, I was pulled over by the Florida Highway Patrol because he said I was weaving on the highway. I told him I was tired from driving, so he issued me a warning. I told him I was a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper with 37 years of experience and I thought he did a good job on the stop. He approached the vehicle cautiously and stayed close to the car. Because it was a night time stop, he also approached the car from the passenger side. I asked him if he was trained to do it that way and he said he was.

The reason why we approach the car from the passenger side is so we can see if the driver has a gun on the seat by his right side.
