Hey, how's it going today for you? It's 2023. An alternate thread for different people.

I feel out of sorts. It's raining, I can't go over and feed the feral cats. I'll watch and see if the rain subsides. I always have this feeling something is wrong, or something is going to go wrong. I don't want to stay here all day. I'll probably go out. The apartment is mess, I need to do some cleaning.

This is going to be a very exciting day for me.
Greenish pine tree pollen is coming down like crazy and coating everything. I will be staying indoors as much as I can today because that stuff drives me crazy.
For real excitement, I am going to get a haircut.
LOL, sorry folks, but that is the best I can do today.

Yesterday I was almost in tears, my newly planted flowers (some may remember the cuttings given to me by my gardener), were drooping... sadly…I had forgotten to water them.
So I gave them a good drink, apologised to them…they must have forgiven me because today, they recovered and were once again looking bright and cheerful.
I was so relieved I thanked them rather loudly not realising hubby was in close range and was laughing quietly lol
🌷🌷🌷🌷
I'm so glad your flowers 🌺🌹 have perked up and are thriving! Spring is coming soon here and I welcome it!

You must have allergies too. Enjoy that haircut!

The rain can upset a lot of plans that's for sure. We've had a lot of it too. I often have that same feeling that something is going to go wrong too. I don't like that feeling at all. Maybe doing some cleaning will get your mind off it and you may even feel like you've accomplished something. That's what I hope to do at least.😀

I just typed in paragraphs of thoughts and went back to delete it all. That speaks to the different part of me. You do not want to hear all of my thoughts. So short and sweet

1. I would like to have a small pet monkey

2. You can throw almost anything in crock pot to make a meal.

3. I can no longer eat spicy food with out repercussions.

4. I am just not that interesting. I don't want to get on your nerves! LOL
I don't think I'm very interesting either but you always add things to the conversation I hadn't thought of a pet monkey but it would be a lot of fun 😊 They are adorable and adventurous !

That's a new one on me. I thought it was Taco Tuesday 🤣
It might be taco Tuesday in the rest of the world, but tuna on Tuesday is an established routine in my house. :)

Since retiring, sometimes I have no idea what day of the week it is, so something like taco-Tuesday helps me remember. During football season, the games provide milestones, but this time of year, there's nothing... except for tuna-Tuesday! :ROFLMAO:

I do get a strong allergenic reaction to ragweed pollen like a lot of other people, but this pine tree pollen is different. It is so thick that it resembles fog and coats cars and just about everything else with a coating of greenish crap that sticks to things like crazy. It has a special ability to adhere to glass for some reason. A lot of us have to pressure wash our houses after this season. I use my battery powered blower twice a day to blow what I can off the porch and patio before it gets tracked into the house. Fortunately, the season only last 2 or 3 weeks. Ragweed season seems to go on forever.

The individual pine tree pollen particles are so big that they get into your eyes and feel gritty.

Still this heavy pollen is easier to deal with than heavy snowfall like that hitting much of the country this year.

LOL, I did enjoy my haircut and feel a lot "lighter" now.

Pretty good, 2 people I gave propane to, paid me for it. I just found out a Hispanic guy here who we call Jose is actually Manuel. I just found a second propane line in my van, which I can't use as it's for a propane tree. (Warning, don't buy them, they break easily) and I'm probably going to hit Taco Bell for 6 burritos and give 2 to Manuel for dinner.

So good news for now.

EDIT: I offered him a third one, he took it also. He's going to Portland for work tomorrow (body shop) I'll see if he gets anything food wise.

Maybe this is the pollen that was being reported over the weekend as a mysterious powder.

That's so nice of you to look out for Manuel, Disgustedman. (y)

Time for me to get up and get ready to leave the house. I've been growing my hair out for the past few months. I had it very short but now it's too long. I have an appt. today and I'm going to tell my hairdresser that this as long as it gets. Amazing that I had my hair waist length for many years. There's no way I could stand that now.

This afternoon I think I will take a drive to look at a couple more senior living places, just the outside, to see if they are pleasing.

Have a great day, everyone!

Busy day here! My friend asked me to come set up her new Iphone, and fix her printer problems. She's 20 miles away, but I got moving early, got the job done for her. She's heading to NC to visit her daughters Sunday and needed that phone to be ready. A different network provider, so SIM card was tricky.
Anyway, back home, and had phone call from Library Director asking me to run for Board in May. Next week I'll get the application for the Town vote, and draft something up to make me sound like a viable candidate. Working there for 10 years will help me sound convincing.
Maybe:D
Going to relax the rest of the evening, and plan a good day tomorrow. I do like a good, busy, productive day. Oh, and I found a penny heads up.....

Hope you are all having a great day. I have been learning my lines from The Mikado..well actually refreshing them as I have done this before.
The weekend looms ahead and looks as though some lovely weather is around the corner, nice for a beach swim, so giving the pool a break.
Cheerio all....🌻🌺🌻🌸

@Remy do you watch "Lucky Ferals" on You Tube? I enjoy it. Lady takes care of them so well...

Hope you feel better.

Wednesday I worked half the day and today I had a chiropractic appointment and spent the afternoon with my kids having coffee and dessert. My internet was down all day so no tv. Turns out the modem they gave me won’t handle the speed so they will send a technician out Monday afternoon. Luckily I have data on my phone.

Just back from getting a few groceries before the ice storm tonight and tomorrow.

You know the jokes about meeting men in the markets, well, today it was my turn. Saw a guy I haven't seen for a year, talked my ear off, he's recuperated from a surgery, reminded me his wife had passed (I knew that three years ago), and he's looking great! Gave me a boost. Then, ran into another friend in the produce aisle who was my neighbor and occasional walking friend. He asked about what I've been up to, and we caught up.
Yep, made me smile a bit today. These encounters brightens up a day, for sure.

Having a funky day, kind of weird as well. Kitten is closing off my tablet's open tabs. That's three times already. Lol!

Yesterday, it was him walking on main remote control for TV, no matter where I put it.

Can't be upset at him as he comes over, sits on my chest, flicks his tail and there goes my programs on tablet. Then, the head butts and the face licking.

I've to be quick in picking up support and move it out the way. Finally, he just went into Cat Manor and fell asleep. Great, I can go make dinner. Laters 😂😂😂

I am doing okay. Just living one day at a time.
That’s all we can do.
Thanks for the thread.
Today I’m so grateful that my father in law appreciated the hand painted ‘Thinking of You” card I made him. He even appreciated the poem I wrote to go with it or so my husband tells me. He’s got cancer and I don’t know what to say. 🙁

I painted 3 kitchen cabinet doors. Yawn! ‍It’s super boring but so much cheaper than buying new ones.
