Hey, how's it going today for you? It's 2023. An alternate thread for different people.

After lunch, getting back to completing my online driver safety course. They say it's a 6 hour minimum course, but when I did it online about 10 years ago, it was more like 10 hours!
I'd much rather go sit through the live course for 6 hours and be done with it, but nothing has been offered around here lately.

Thank goodness the certificate earned is good for three years, and gives a 10% discount each year off your vehicle insurance.
I'll be glad I did it when it is over. I've been taking this refresher course for 15 years now. Anyone else?

This is Texas, it will change before the week is up!!!!

Is Texas related to Canada…..😉🙃🌤⛈🌧☀️🌈🌦☃️🌬🌊☔❄️🌨🌥🌩…..you can look outside here, several times a day, and never get bored, each time is different.🍂😉😊.

I thought my dog was ok but had to call the Vet today. Early in the week she threw up her dry food. So for 3 days I gave her chicken and rice and a little sweet potato. She held that down for 3 days. So today I started back to giving her the dry food and she threw it up.

I am going to switch bags of food -I have another. Going back to the chicken and rice and broth and a little water. Then I am going to mix a little of the kibble into it and see if she can hold that down.

I also have a Vet appointment for Monday. She'll probably get blood work done.

I'm worried again-. She is 13.

Hope it’s not serious, Ruthanne.
It’s such a worry, with our little ones…..they can’t tell us how they feel.
Being the devoted mom, I know you will do everything in your power for him / her, to care for and to comfort.❤️🐶❤️🐶.
Try and stay strong.

Thank you. I just want Suzy to be ok. And I will do everything I can for her. God bless you.

I hope that she will be…..prayers for you both.

Sadly, I’m going through things with my sweet wee girl Shaalee.
She’s 16 years and 6 months.
I almost lost her between this past Christmas and New Years.
I take it day by day with her…..today isn’t one of her better days.
I do and give her whatever makes her comfortable, and extra loving, BIG TIME.
Many tears, everyday, I am dreading the day when I have to say good bye. 🥺😢🥺😢🥺😢🥺😢🥺😢🥺😢.

Bless you both, Ruthanne and Suzy.

Chanced going to the casino for a nice dinner and some gambling despite high wind warning and thunderstorms predicted.
Glad I did. I got home safely before the winds kicked up, temps were 70° and sunny! I won a little.

Here's the kicker.....three different men I sat next to at the slots began winning like crazy as soon as I sat next to them! One even hit a major jackpot of $1400, cashed out, came back and gave me a $20 for luck! Such a fun day! They were so friendly, laughing and nudging. I love it when folks win!

I'm sorry your furry baby is struggling. That has to be so rough. I have been treating Suzy like a queen 👑. We never know how much longer we have with them. Suzy is up in age too. She is so important to me, too. I hope you have lots more good days with your pup.❤️

We should go to the casino too!, 😉 I could use some good luck too🤣 Glad you had a good time!

I am still laughing over something my new neighbor told me today. She said that she read that Donald Trump got a couple of million dollars yesterday. She said he should pay a mortician $500.000 to fake Trump was killed than give the same amount of money to a funeral home to say they buried him and put a guy in it that resembled him. Then give the same amount of money to a Doctor who could change his appearance so no one would recognize the new Donald and then get a pilot to fly him to a new location. I realized that my neighbor is crazy!

I have been up all night because my hours are off as usual. I got a lot done this morning. I did a load of laundry. I cleaned the kitchen and bathroom floors, took out the garbage, cleaned the toilet and bathroom sink. Then I have been working YouTube music videos.

That's a lot for me to get done.

Today was going absolutely wonderfully for me. Until :giggle: I was getting the very stubborn shrink wrap off a new eye shadow stick... tip of the knife stabbed the fleshy part between thumb and pointer finger. That's a puncture wound that's gonna leave a mark for sure. But it's bandaged up now, stopped bleeding, and I can type, so all's well once again.

I hope it heals up well. That had to hurt 🤕 Be careful. After I sliced my finger several years ago I was very cautious. I think that's how we get.

Back to the dog dilemma:. Haven't figured out exactly what's going on but thinking I may have gotten hold of a bad bag of dog food. I won't know until I tàke her completely off the bland food mixture with dog food from a new bag.

She is heartily eating her new food mixed with a little chicken and rice and sweet potato and water. She's been keeping it down. So I didn't take her to the Vet today. I cancelled and told them the situation seems to be resolving itself. That's even though I am not 100 percent sure at this point. We shall see.

Slept a lot today and still feel tired. The sun was shining beautifully today and then the sky turned black and gray.

Not having the best day. Tomorrow could be better.

Got up at 5 a.m. Fed Suzy her special food. She loves it and I got plenty of chicken thighs, brown rice and sweet potatoes. I've been adding some of her dry food to the mixture.

I want to make sure she's okay before I reduce the mixture and increase her dry food. She is at least 12, 13 years old now. I feel like spoiling her even more than I do. I don't know how long she will be around. She is the absolutely sweetest doggie I have ever had or met. I want to make sure she is happy. She seems it.

She still walks fast down the street and jumps over things and seems so content and with her life and me. I'm joyed to know that! She is going a little slower up the steps. Vet said she has arthritis so I have started back on glucosamine and chondroitin supplement in dog chew sticks form.

I owe it to her to give her the best life and I try as much as I can. She helped reduce my depression and gave me a wonderful companion. I couldn't ask for any better because she is the best!

I wonder if there is anymore interest in posting it n this thread. Some of the people who were posting here have flown the coop it seems.

Today doggie and I went for a walk but not that far. I am out of shape and my hip hurts after I walk not very far. I have to start some stretching and increasing our walks little by little.

A dear and long time friend of mine named Eddie has inspired me to not give up on myself like I wanted to. He has about 9 very serious illnesses including cancer.

Eddie was just diagnosed with lung cancer and Not in a terminal state as of now. He still has been trying to lose some weight as he is very much overweight. He told me he cut out junk food and ha lost several pounds. He is starting treatment soon in the form of radiation.

He will also be going to respiratory therapy. I give him a lot of credit to keep going.

He is 66 and has COPD, heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, kidney disease, and a few other things I can't recall right now. But that is a more than some can handle. I know it would overwhelm me.

I have my illnesses too and not as many as he but I often feel overwhelmed too and like what's the use in trying anymore. He has inspired me to do better 😉

My observation is that your threads seem to have a much longer life span than most before they run out of steam.

"I have my illnesses too and not as many as he but I often feel overwhelmed too and like what's the use in trying anymore. He has inspired me to do better."

Please continue to take a clue from your friend Eddie and continue to hang in there.

I hope he can continue in many comfortable years to come.
Sounds like he’s doing a lot to help his health issues…..he’s dealing with more than any one person should.

He sees a lot of doctors and gets a lot of tests and procedures done. He has had some of the ailments for 20 years and keeps on going. He doesn't even eat the best diet. I don't know what's keeping him alive. Well he does take a whole lot of medicine! About 20 pills a day. His COPD is getting worse and the lung cancer is a result of that. God bless him❤️

I'm so sorry Ruthanne about your friend. No I think this is a very good thread.

I'm always down when I have to go to work the next day. My right knee hurts a bit. That always scares me since I have no idea when I can stop working.
Thank you @Remy Are you going to retire anytime soon? What do you do for your knee? I find that a compression sleeve helps me. My knee has been acting up too. I need to find where I put the compression sleeve. I actually need to find one a size larger. Often things you wear run smaller when made in China.
