Hey, how's it going today for you? It's 2023. An alternate thread for different people.

Just got back from driving over to the brake guy, paid him the money $310 and have soild address. Got back, pondering about getting ice, passed and good reason.

5 min after returning, free food truck showed so chicken a plenty (I'll get ice later) I was told my name came up during a "Housing discussion"

Since I scored a 7 (adequate monthly income for rent, heating, food) I'm low on the list. If you're handicapped, veteran, mental issues, hiding from cops, domestic violence victim and include a child or two, you're in the 20's and get preference.

But one guy said "I don't want him falling through the cracks" so I'm noticed, so they are aware of me. So later tonight, an ice run then to obviously chill the weekend
 

it was an afternoon well spent meeting and conversing with several members from this forum on Zoom! What a delightful group. Now, when reading posts and threads, I have an idea of what the person sounds like, and a bit of personality peeks through. I can't wait to do it again in a few weeks.

Now, off to see what's for dinner.:)
 
Should have done something productive today but I opted to return a blouse to Talbot's, then continued on to the casino. Gave my wrist a workout, though. Does that count as exercise?
Home tonight and giving thought on two papers I need to write. One for a program on weird and ghostly happenings, and the other a bio of myself to present as a candidate in our town elections in May.
I hope I get inspired.....soon. Funny, as my mouth works very fast when I want to share something....
 
Today I am cleaning my shower and changing the bed sheets.

I’m starting on a new painting to give a brother in law and his new family.

Today we walked extra long. It was almost a 2 hour walk today and I took photos which I’m dropping into this thread. I hope you don’t mind Ruthanne.
The dogs loved it too.

What was really cool was finding inspiring messages in some of the trees near the river.
There were 4 messages all together. The first said;

But I cheat and use this. It vacuums and washes all at once and has different settings for hardwood, ceramic, carpet etc. I also like that I add the cleaner type I want. It picks up everything and saves a lot of time. I bought it during Boxing Day sales when it was on for 1/2 price. What I like the most is that it’s light. That makes cleaning that much easier.

I like that cleaner. Wish I had one. It does so much doesn't it. Was it expensive?

It vacuums and cleans at the same time however it really gets filthy if you do it that way so I often vacuum first due to our pets.
I picked these specifically due to the lightness of them and the fact that I could use whatever cleaner I wanted in them. It has a back container that collects all the dirty water but you have to clean this after every use.

It’s called a Bissell Crosswave and they are about $250 regular price. We paid 1/2 of that and it was well worth it. I picked up a small upholstery cleaner at the same time so I can clean our furniture easily too.

Not that I know of. These things are really light and easy to use though. They glide over the floors with little effort and make cleaning a breeze. I wouldn’t trust a robot to clean my floors. 😝

Oh man, I totally would, did actually, for a while, but the cute little thing died. Okay, it didn't do a fabulous job, but you know, better than the job I wasn't doing. :ROFLMAO:

Well that’s just the thing. Without the proper cleaning tools, I normally hate doing floors. Cleaners became too heavy and cumbersome for me. Now I use this thing and the floors look great with such little effort .
The only downside, and there’s is one, is that you have to clean this out well after every use and let it thoroughly dry or it will stink really bad. Clearly I’ve done that already. 🤢
