Heysham Church spring flowers

Yesterday afternoon I did some photography for the 'Heysham In Bloom' folks. The churchyard is looking fab! Back in a few weeks for the Daffodils. Here is a small selection of the 50 pix I handed over to them!

Fantastic pictures as usual..
It reminds me of many of the old country churches near my former home in Hampshire. I'm not religious, but I admire the buildings and the insight it gives to the people who worshipped there. Cathedrals are mostly magnificent, but I prefer the simplicity of country churches.

Our garden has much less spring flowers, but they are present too:

Those purple lily species are gorgeous. Well done! Shot in a damp old cemetery environment provides an added complementary deep vibe. Given record recent rains, wildflowers our now exploding in many lower elevation areas. I'll soon be doing photography road trips within 300 miles with my considerable A6000 gear.
