Hey all!

I'm Sue and I'm looking forward to getting to know this place and all of you.

I'm 60 but still ten years away from retirement. I like to say I'm already there, but as a "working retirement." I work in publishing, writing back-of-the-book indexes and proofreading. I feel fortunate to read for a living, so maybe I can keep doing it for another ten years-- unless books go away!

My better half and I have enjoyed our place on the Sangamon River in central Illinois for 30 years with our various four-footed furry friends.

I just retired a few weeks ago , not because I wanted to, but my job was too demanding on my back...I really expected to have at least another 6 or 7 years yet!!

Proof reading is a job I would always loved to have been able to do...
