What are your top two challenges right now (aside from financial) in retirement? What keeps you up at night?

First of all, welcome, Roz! I'll answer your question. My first challenge is that I'm not sure that I want to stay in San Diego for the rest of my life and I keep weighing the pros and cons. My second challenge is what color to paint my toenails next week. . . decisions, decisions . . . (Great question, Roz!) :)

Welcome to the forums, Roz. To answer your question, my biological clock wakes me up because either it's age related or it's that I used to work the nights before I recently retired. I can only think of one challenge right now and that's downsizing and purging "things". How about you Roz? Same questions.

Welcome Roz. My main challenge right now, which I am putting a lot of thought into is that I was a former airline pilot for United-Continental. I retired a few years back, but have been flying for a company that leases jets with or without a pilot. I serve only one exclusive customer, which at first I didn't think I would like, but after doing it for almost 2 years, really do like it. My problem is that my FAA license and rating is coming due in the fall, so I am unsure if I want to go through the FAA required physical to be able to continue flying or should I just hang it up completely. It's a very tough life altering decision to have to make.

Welcome, Roz, and a great question for us......I'm kinda like Glinda, no big challenges other than toenail color..lolI do worry about my children/grandchildren and their decisions in life, I guess that might be a challenge....to stop worrying.

Welcome, Roz! My top challenge is trying to find enough hours in the day for all my activities. I'm much busier in retirement than I ever was when I worked.

Nothing keeps me up at night. I wake up in the mornings to the smell of bacon and eggs, toast, and coffee. I'm a kept man. Welcome.
