Hi, everyone, I joined this site in the hope,of meeting new people from diverse backgrounds, and experiences. I try to live my life with a smile on my face whenever possible, and tolerance and compassion in my heart. I also like to play, most Canadians do. I hope I will find a welcome at your site.

You are very welcome here Shalimar...glad you've found us..do explore and join in any thread that catches your interest, and if you have any problems negotiating the site just shout and one of the many nice folks here will help you out..:welcome:

Welcome Shalimar, from a transplanted west-coaster, enjoy the forum

;) Dear AZ I agree to your terms, providing you never call me Shal. How could you possibly know? Besides, I am a mermaid. Species incompatibility a definite factor. You made this left coaster laugh!

I figure, I better come in and welcome you after that little exchange we had a moment ago. I'm really sweet and innocent and pink bunnies and roses and such. :turnaround:

Looking forward to having you join with the rest of the animal crackers.

Thank you so much for the welcome. I am a very innocent mermaid. I would love to join the rest of the animal crackers, providing they are sufficiently multicultural to admit creatures that are human-fish hybrids. You are so much fun.

I am having trouble posting replies in right place. Thank you so much for warm welcome. I am a very innocent mermaid who would love to become a part of the animal crackers, providing you are multicultural enough to accept hybrid species like me!

Hi Shalimar!

I still have an excellent pie to finish off, peach. A cherry and mixed berry are in the waiting. :fat:

Hi Ina, thank you so much for the warm welcome. I am sure I will enjoy all aspects that this site has to offer. It is wonderful to see that I am not the only senior woman who favours long hair. Yours is very, beautiful. Does this forum offer any place for poets to share their writing?

Welcome from me too Shalimar.

You have already got lots of friends from all
over the place and now you have a Scotsman.

Mike.

Ina, it has been my experience that writing poetry has nothing to do with scholarship,it is a gift one is born with, like playing by ear. My mother told me I was spouting poetry long before I could read or write. There are many things I wish I could do, such as knit or sew etc. I am not clever with my hands . I am sure that you have gifts that come easily to you, that many of us would love to have. No reason to hide. If you have ethics, you are already gifted.
