I dont know if they are using the same username here from the forum I came from or not, but I'm here.

Here is my introduction.

I am a 52 year old male, recently married with schizophrenia. I am a homeowner and I work part time despite my illness. I am very much an open book on most if not all topics. I recently moved from Iowa to Illinois. Until recently I had been spending most of my time fixing up my most recently purchased house, but that is slowing down a bit as its been almost 2 months since I've got the keys now.

I've been married since July 5th.

Im eager to get to know the people here and have some interesting discussions. If anyone has any questions for me, like I said, Im pretty much an open book as I have been on my other forum I use regularly. See you around!

Thank you all for the welcomes thus far. I should say that, as long as I am medicated, I'm pretty normal. I developed schizophrenia late. In my early 40's. That dictionary definition sounds much worse than my current condition would suggest :ROFLMAO:. Although, if I go too long without meds these days, I can indeed go off the rails.

Welcome, Bowens! I hope you find the support and help you are searching for in this forum. At the very least, you will find friends. And please do continue to share without judgment. It is by all means cathartic, and the members of this forum tend to be wonderful people who are sympathetic.
