Hi! What are you up to today? How's it going?

Supposed to be a rain all day deal so I will stay in. Bought a pattern at Value Village for a new housecoat and I have the fabric already if I can remember where I stashed it then that will be my plans for the day.

I'll be at my church,volunteering in our business office,been doing this since 2007. At the moment,I'm working on a ongoing computer project Weds mornings.My regular mornings are Thurs&Fri,I have a weekly computer job I do on Thurs.I love helping the ladies in the office with various tasks.
We hit a new record high here yesterday 68,today more of the same until a cold front comes thru this afternoon Sue

Trust me it just sounded like a lot:D

I no longer sell my jewelry. I used to; but not online; in shops. Now I wear them all and if I encounter someone who really likes the bracelet I give it to them. Yep I have a reputation in my area as an eccentric.

I am trying to decide who to take my car to in order for it to be repaired. I called 2 places and one made it sound like it's going to or may cost quite a bit. The other shop said they would run a diagnostic test for free. I have been to the first place before and they always charge about 100.00 more than other places. Have never been to the second place but I'm afraid my car may not make it there. It's running really rough.

I went to Autozone Auto Parts when my check engine light first came on about 3 weeks ago. It was still running okay and they did a computer test on it and it relayed that a spark plug was misfiring. The expensive auto repair place man started going into all these scenarios of what it could be and how it could cost a lot. Maybe I will just get it towed to a place where I know they won't charge that much--but there aren't any any more!!

I have to take it somewhere. I need to grocery shop and go to doctors and take my dog to the groomer..and so on..

Today I folded one load of laundry, went to the PO to pick up a package; you guessed it more beads. I called the car repair place for an appointment to replace/repair the brakes. The remainder of the day I transcribed some of my stories. I have been writing stories long hand for years (I have boxes and boxes of legal pads full) My goal is to get everything into the computer.

If I were you PD and could afford it, I'd hire someone to transcribe. Or give it all to a publisher, maybe they'll buy it and let them transcribe while you deposit checks!
 
I made a cheesecake today with a graham cracker bottom and topped with tart cherries on top. Num Num
Speaking of which it is properly chilled about now, so I'll be having some soon.
 
Today I dropped the car off. Much later a call from the repair shop: sway bars links are loose, need rear brake pads, front brake rotors and pads and replace the shift cable* Much less expensive than purchasing a new car:cry:

Why can't they TELL you they need to keep the car overnight? If I had known I would have done my errands first. Phooey! Yesterday when I called he said it would only be 2 hours.




*the shift cable part is about 1/5 th the cost of the time it will take to do just that job.
