I thought I had ha missed it but found this online:
"September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic American Heritage Month"

Music: My favorite is Neo Soul artist Maxwell. His father was Puerto Rican, his mother Haitian. Saw him in concert in 1997. I love Santana and wish I could have seen him in concert, but I no longer go to live concerts. Years ago, I saw Tito Puente at a local college. He was great.

Actors/Actresses: Jimmy Smits, Adam Rodriquez (Criminal Minds) and the late Raul Julia, all gorgeous besides being very talented. Freddie Prinze (I was heartbroken when he committed suicide). And who could forget Desi Arnaz. I also really like Gina Torres (911 Lone Star, Firefly) and Judy Reyes (Scrubs, High Potential) and Michael Pena, who seems to be in every other movie.

Maxwell, from his younger days...His debut CD Urban Hang Suite stayed in my CD player for a year and got played every single day. He also made that wild hair fashionable.

Sometimes we can tell by their last names that they have Hispanic heritage, but sometimes we cannot. Here are a few of the celebrities whose names don't reveal their Hispanic heritage:
Linda Ronstadt, Hillary Swank, Vanna White, Martin Sheen, Raquel Welch, Eddie Cibrian, Tatiana Ali, Salma Hyek, Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) and Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf series), who was the cutest child actor in Maid In Manhattan.

There are so many Hispanic celebrities and those in other fields who have graced us with their talents and skills, so more to come. Please feel free to add to this thread.

Around the country, it may be Hispanic Heritage ‘Month’…. In southern Texas, SanAntonio, Houston, and around the state, we live in a Hispanic world year round.
The culture and lifestyle has taken over entirely. … just try to count the Mexican Restaurants in our area alone ..lol
The majority of the population in Houston is now hispanic.

One of the things I enjoy most about living in the Phoenix area is the Hispanic heritage that is all around the Valley. It ranges from the architecture of the homes and buildings to the music that can be heard all throughout the Valley. And of course the food is outstanding. One of my favorite events is coming up soon. I have not attended any of the events for a few years now but always had a good time when I did.
