Holocaust remembrance Day

But it happens all the time-attempted genocide by one fraction of a population against another of a population for religious, racial, or genetic reasons. Saying we must prevent something from happening, that continues to happen, is -pardon me- useless, IMO.

Who are the “we“ you speak of? How will the “we” prevent genocide?
Humanitarians who understand that human genocide is unacceptable behavior. This is the collective "we" of whom I speak.

There were five million others, who were murdered in Hitler's concentration camps. They were not considered Aryans, and thus were 'inferior subhumans'. They were homosexuals, intellectuals, so called Gypsies, and anyone Hitler disliked. They died right along side of the Jews. It is best we remember the atrocities of all of Hitler's hated millions.

I agree and many of those groups are still hunted and killed today.

We absolutely must take measures to prevent it from ever happening again. We can't control the whole world, but we can control what happens in our own country. And we have come alarmingly close recently.

After WW2, the phrase "Never again" had wide popularity. I think it needs to be resurrected. It would be nice to believe that mankind has evolved to a level beyond that kind of horror. If only.

It hasn't. I did truly believe we had evolved and were slightly better, but that was before the 2020 !@#$%show.

We watched the second half (of Resistance) last night. It's a fascinating story but just an average movie. Worth watching, though.
I really liked the movie. I notice a lot of people are very picky about filming, quality of the actors, how the acting was done etc. critics abound. I suppose I am not Critical enough. I have never lost my amazement that “talking“ pictures exist. 😂. I always stop to smell the roses. 😍

I either like a movie or not, that’s the level of my criticism. 🧐
