I don't see them anymore. Last year TV commercial time was saturated with them. They suddenly disappeared.

We still get these commercials in our area. $19 to clean a house??? Yeah right...any person doing this wouldn't be making minimum wage.

Wow, I never knew that existed. I was a housecleaner for 30 years. I advertised in the want ads section, and rarely went without a call for more than a week. Some outfits were commercial like "Merrymaids". I followed Merrymaids and they did sloppy work. I had great references. Like I cleaned for a well known Judge/Lawyer who's wife loved me. I would have potential clients talk with her. Worked almost every time.

I bid each job by the house size. Average was $50. It took about an hour and a half to do a weekly cleaning.

They are still running them in my area. I have to imagine that you must sign a contract that runs into some money. Because it says your first cleaning is 19 dollars. Might be up to a year. Who knows.
