My DD told me to have drawers installed instead of cupboards for pots and pans. Was she ever right.

Why do people have so many lemons? I buy one, cut it and then forget to finish it.

@Jules, Maybe they make lemonade? But, in my case I was shopping at Aldi and at the last minute realized I needed a lemon for some dish I was making . You can't buy one lemon at Aldi, you must buy a bag of 6. So, I grumbled out loud and the lady near me told me about storing them in water.

Did I do it? Lol, no! I have 2 left in the fridge that are getting pretty soft.

My french door refrigerator has two large crispers that holds a lot w/an adjustment for humidity in them too. It keeps thing pretty good. But I always will look for other ideas for storage.

I store berries in glass and they last a long time! Don't wash until ready to use.

Lemons last pretty long in the frig. Once cut, I put them in a little Rubbermaid container.

Now that you say that, I’ve seen those bags of lemons at all the grocery stores and never thought about why. Maybe there are lots of lemon pies being made.
 
Watched some of these videos and while I find the ingenuity and diligence of these folks admirable, I've met myself and know who I am. Wouldn't do these things if I lived to be 1000.

I get home from the store, shove the produce in the crisper drawers and other refrigerator goods into the rest of the fridge and get on with my life. Spend an hour washing and repackaging fruits and veggies into containers that will need to be washed in a day or two after using said produce? Soooo not gonna happen.

Fun to watch, but I'm with you, SS.
 
I did some little reorganizing in the kitchen this week. I had to have the one tailpipe on the kitchen sink replaced that leaked last week fixed on Monday by the plumber. Decided to replace the sink, the faucet & drainers since he was coming out anyway.

I had to clean out the base cabinet the bottom so it could dry out. After dry, I put down new liner & reused the two stacking plastic drawers that I keep sponges, dish scrubbers & like items in that sits between the goose necks. I added an 8-qt. Sterlite dish pan to put anything with metal in to keep from rusting if they get wet. It also was large enough to go under one side of the plumbing should something leak, so it won't go all over if it happens again. Going to get another one for the other side. If I get the other, hope doing so means I won't ever need it. 🤞

Total price (not including plumber) was less than $10.

Interesting idea, Lilac. My undersink items are also in tubs. Never thought about using stacking plastic drawers. Will have to get out the tape measure to see if this would work in my kitchen and/or bathrooms.
