Homeless Man Gets A Home

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ...

I wonder if they're using any of that money for addressing the root cause of his homelessness (whatever it might be?). From the pie chart in the video it looked like 75% or so of the money went to the house and utilities, 25% to a savings account, but no mention of whether he's jobless or what their plans for the future are.

I agree, the guy also said it was his house to live in for a year, what happens to him and the house after that? And it seems that five homeless people can be taken care of with more modest housing for the money involved. I think the homeless guy said that he did already have a job, so that's a good thing.

Okay, good, so he already has a job. I know sometimes it just catches up to you if you have too many bills and that can result in homelessness, so if all he needed was some "kick-starting" that's fine by me.

I agree that more than one person could have been helped with that amount of money - I believe they were buying all brand-new furniture and appliances for him, rather than lightly-used stuff. It's like the house two doors down from my place - they receive welfare, food stamps and all sorts of other aid and drive a vehicle that cannot be legal, but they just got a nice new 50" flat-screen TV.

I realize that homelessness can be brought on by external forces, but also know that it can be a personal choice.
