Hope everyone gets through this.

I'm in Maryland and am heading off to my grandsons wedding. Only problem is, it's 91 degrees here and the wedding is outside. The wife and I don't do well in this kind of heat, so wish us luck. Pictures to follow. I'll skip the emergency oxygen pictures if any are needed.

Pappy, I hope there's a nice breeze and maybe you'll have a nearby air-conditioned car for some breaks. I guess with the heat that high means you won't be breakdancing with bride?

Good luck Pappy. See if you can talk to the clergyperson to keep from running off with his/her mouth
and get the thing over with SOONEST !

Oh my, that is hot for an outside wedding. Hope you and your wife make it through without much distress. Drink plenty of fluids but limit the alcoholic kind ! teehee

I went to an outdoor wedding in July once in Florida. Who is their right mind has an outdoor wedding at 2:00 p.m. in Florida in July? It was hotter'n the gates of Hell as my grandma used to say; to boot, the wedding started 35 minutes late. You could smell the flesh broiling.

Luckily, I had on a great big straw sunhat. I'm pretty sure I could have made my mortgage payment that month renting that thing out to the other guests.

I hope everything goes well for you and the wife. Emergency oxygen..oh boy..I hope it doesn't come to that.

Who would have thought we'd be experiencing another heat wave in Sept! Hope there are tents and plenty of shade. I'm sure it works out. Know what you mean about not doing well in the heat, any breeze will surely be a hot one. Be good if you had one of those cooling towels or an ice pack. Even an umbrella if you're in the sun. Enjoy the wedding.

Hope you're ok Pappy. One would think that by Sept. 10th it would have cooled down enough for a nice outdoor wedding, but not this year I guess.

Whoever had their outdoor wedding in July in FL should have been told a thing or two, along with those who didn't stop them.

Pappy, I'm in Maryland too, and I can sympathize. I went out for a walk this morning, thinking I would beat the heat. Big mistake. I thought I was going to pass out. It's not only hot (heat index = 100), the humidity is unbearable and the air quality is horrible. The toxic fumes are just sitting there.

Cannot believe this is the second week of September!

Okay, Nancy, here's a couple photos. Everyone got through the heat even though the temp was in low 90s. There was a breeze blowing off the Chester river which helped some. The bride and my grandson. Nice honeymoon. They are going to Italy.
Next photo....father gives the bride away.
Next...the wife, me and my son , the father of the groom, at the reception.
