How are you feeling ?

Didn't turn in till about 1:30 in the morning so I am feeling the affects of that even though I did sleep in till 10 a.m. I do have to do a bit of laundry as it is back to work tomorrow morning.

Yeah, right

It was worth it!

I'm just happy to be alive....
We traveled on Sunday, we had 14 hours to get to our cottage....Rain was terrible half of the way and traffic was awful...Bumper to Bumper...
We stopped for gas and a star buck....We were going to get a room, but the sun came out and the traffic calmed down....So we went on
our merry way....
It wasn't merry!!!! After almost getting to our destination the weather started again and it was dark....Hubby was driving....but the traffic
stopped...Then it was a crawl and he had to go to the left cause there was an accident....he followed the traffic and crawling....All of a sdden
Bam!!!! Someone hit our car....We both had our seat belts on...Hubby was holding on to the steering wheal and I jerked a little but the
belt saved me....I did get bruised....We get out of the car...The back of the car (It's a hatchback.) was slammed in and glass all over....
A truck hit us....It could of been worse....We had so much stuff in the car for our home....Hubby brought most of his tools, the car was
smashed...The car is only 1 year in December....
When I got out of the car I was crying and nauseous, I didn't realize my breast hurt me till the MTE took me in the ambulance....
They took my blood pressure, it was very high....I calmed down, they wanted me to stay put for a while....Hubby was getting all the
information...A Patrol man gave the ticket
to the Kid....We found out he was 19 years old...Anyway....
We are living....But, NO CAR....They towed the car to a gas station....I went in the police car, while my hubby went with the man towing the
car....Then they got a taxi for us to get to our cottage....Of course hubby called our insurance co. when we got home....Everyone was
great...The next day we got a loner car....Sorry this is to long....Still don't know about our car....But life goes on...

Yes I'm feeling similarly sluggish , and I do have to start an exercise regime.

I've had a knee problem for the last 6 months which I get PT for every week , so it can be very painful at times to walk which I need to do for exercise, but conversely I need to walk to prevent the pain from becoming even worse ..rock and a hard place, but I've decided I'm going to join the gym :giggle:
Holly, I don't have knee problem, but a few times I hurt a knee or an ankle temporarily by making a wrong move. I found that wrapping the area with a big bandage gives it support and lessens the pain. Don't wrap too tightly or go to sleep with it, though, I did it once and my foot was really swollen.

Bless you for thinking of me but my knee -cap was dislocated , and the resulting pain has arisen from there, which is why I have the PT session every week.

I also have to wear a knee brace when I go out, recommended by my physiotherapist.. , or I can't walk after driving, my knee just won't take my weight after the legs being in the sitting position for so long . As I have OA in my hands I worry that I may be getting the same in my knees.. the symptoms are the same..

Same as Christmas, Turner Classic Films and I are having a good time.
At present, watching 'Westwrorld,' Yul Bynner is getting ready to shoot a bunch of folks, at least there are no high speed chases,
but there is not much of a plot.

Exercise: does push the buttons on the remote count?

Post 15 double R, you gott'a but that jug down child.

Oh damn @peppermint, I am so sorry about this!

I hope you and hub are feeling okay! Just bad luck and since it was 2019 still, that bad luck is over!

Be well.

Thank you, Rose...We do have a loner...Didn't here anything yet about the car....Tomorrow we will look for a car to keep here at our
second home...Then we can take a plane home to NJ....We love it here and are staying for a while...We will survive...Just sad that we
may have to give up the car, if they can't fix...It's really bad!!!!

Need a simile face that say's, Damn!
Pep, how come your Hubby was ticked, in Tx. any collision where you are hit in the rear-ticket goes to person that rammed you.
Wrecks are a pain, paperwork on loaner, insurance company, expenditures and the time it takes to get back to normal.

I'm feeling sluggish also. I received so many gluten free snacks because I have to eat gluten free and I just can't leave them alone. I will freeze some items but will enjoy the rest over the weekend. If I don't eat them up now it is no sense watching my diet. I have no will power

I need to lose some weight mostly because I know my legs and knees feel better not having to haul extra weight around and because I am trying to control my BP without medications.

I'm always about 4 to 5 pounds over my max. It might as well be 100. Very hard to get rid of it.

Hubby wasn't ticked!!! He was concerned for me....Yes, we have our insurance co. on it....And we have a loaner....The patrolman gave the kid
a ticket.… What ever will be, will be....We are alive...

Oooh @peppermint I just saw your post, I'm sorry I missed it earlier. What a scary situation for you both, it's the aftershock that's often worse when you think what could have happened ..anyway as you say thank goodness you're alive and survived with just some bruising...but I can imagine you're mad as helll about your relatively new car being damaged so badly , and the damage to the contents too...

I hope it doesn't take too long for it all to be sorted .. (((gentle hugs))) in case you're still sore

Double R:
Will how about post 17, or do you want me to tell Em-you know he won't put the jug down.
Gary O says he had one drink, last night, but it's long been daylight, Hmmm
(I'm sure you realize this is all in fun.)

I'm sick with the flu and have been all week. No celebrations or anything fun. I've had to take some time off which I can ill afford to do, but it's a matter of necessity. Since yesterday, I've been feeling a little better, but I'm a bit deaf now in my left ear from fluid and congestion from my cough/cold. It will clear up soon. At least the fever and nausea are gone. I'm on the mend.

Prayers, kind thoughts, well wishes, and good vibrations would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I've got a really bad cold and part of the reason I feel so crappy is that with the cough and congestion I haven't been able to sleep more than a little bit at a time, so I'm feeling really tired and dragged out. I got up today and looked at my housework and laundry that needs doing and said "nope, not today." It'll all still be there when I feel better.

Oh dear. I only just saw this. Prayers & thoughts sent your way. That sounds like a wicked cold. My husband is just recovering from one. He was really sick. I hope you feel better soon.

You too Butterfly. A lot of people are sick with colds right now. Sending good healing vibes your way.

Feeling pretty good...the effects of the new year's eve coors light have worn off...just took a walk with doggy down the street in the 50 F weather we are having..was a nice walk!

Can't decide what to have for dinner.....maybe chili or a sandwich and salad..such decisions! Don't really feel like cooking and the defrosted beef can wait a day I guess.

Thinking of giving doggy a little bath..her grooming is in another 12 days and she is a little stinky but then dogs do have a little smell about them don't they...lol:p:D

Just relaxing as usual.

So sorry to read this but I’m glad you are ok.
That sounds like a horrible ordeal.

I couldn't sleep either until I started heavy dosing with aspirin to control the fever/inflammation. Once I got a good solid sleep for hours, my fever broke. I hope you'll feel better too. Hugs.
