How are you today?

Hey! Can't imagine? Who just asked if you're gonna need bail money? :ROFLMAO:

Heck, I'd even drive the backhoe if you need...er...."space" dug up in your back yard.

After all, what are friends for?
Love you too Georgiagranny! No bail needed at this time. Maybe in the future huh? Forgot to mention. Been there done that.

@Paulina Sure. That's what my emergency fund is for. Some folks keep an emergency fund equal to six months' salary. Pfffft. I keep an emergency fund in case my friends need bail money.

I have...um...interesting friends.
Me too. Curious. My husband still rides a Harley. Not (or never) a follower what so ever. He had 2 friends that rode with him without joining the Hell's Angels or other local chapters. Once again, not a follower along with his buds too boot. Well his 2 Harleyster friends died but I'll tell you. If and when they were in any trouble what so ever, we'd be right there for them in an instant. My husband is still alive, still enjoys his 3rd Harley now and if he needs help? He's got me.

I’m relieved today. My brother in law finally found a job. He’s been unemployed for 9 months and about to lose his beautiful home. Now he has 2 job offers. We’d offered to help him out financially but he declined our offer. I’m so happy for him. He’s a good person.
I remember back in 1998 I was applying for jobs everywhere. Then I finally got one, and about 6 months later I get a letter from this other job telling me that they decided to go with someone else.

I looked back to see when I applied for this job, and it was 9 months! So I wrote back to them thanking them for their information, but I had to regretfully tell him I starved to death 5 months ago waiting for their replies.

I don't know if they ever read it or not but I felt so good sending that.

Nine months later they responded? Good thing you weren’t holding your breath. I know that my brother in-law has applied for hundreds of jobs. I don’t know how many of them respond back. I do know that he’s called back plenty of times after the interview. Oddly enough the company that offered him the job, he hadn’t even applied for. It’s a company that he’d done some contract work for at some point in time.

Nine months later is far too long to wait for a response. Good for you for writing back. Maybe it changed the way they’do things in the future. You’d hope so.

It's gonna be a good. Hot and sunny, but more like what we're used to here except without the extreme humidity.

DD and I are going to visit the "Clarence" shelves at Lowe's early, then she's taking DGD to meet a friend at the 'Bama state line. That'll be a 3-hour RT drive. DGD is spending the weekend with her friend and friend's DD since it'll be a long while before she can visit again. She's having spinal surgery the day after Labor Day and will probably be out of commission for 2-3 months so no road trips, not even short ones.

I've sat around on my dead center for most of the week, meaning there's plenty that should probably be Optimized and/or Maximized today.

Okay, then, gonna throw on my glad rags and get a wiggle on. Things to do. Places to go. People to see. And stuff.

I am good today. Drinking my coffee, planning my day. I have to make pickles, the cukes are attacking!
My cucumber plant fought back while I was trying to move it out of the way of the mower and I had a big itchy rash around my arms and neck. Beware!
