I use Google calendar that works on Android and Apple phones and it never fails to notify me of upcoming appointments @Babs2u … I usually set mine to notify me a day prior to the appointmentI was looking through appointment cards this morning looking for a phone number. Suddenly I came upon one with today's date on it. I had made this appointment six months ago before I began using my cell phone calendar and there was no reminder. It was 11:30 and the appointment was for one o'clock about 30 minutes away. I ate, took my meds, showered and dressed and got there on time.
It was for an ultrasound of veins and arteries. Lots of prodding with a sharp instrument. The good news was that there was a Captain D next door. I had seen ads for lobster rolls at Captain D. Not quite New England quality but I am enjoying them anyway. A little dry but I added some mayo and lemon. It has been years.
The reason for enjoying such a day was to see my lady on the dancefloor. She's not allowed, medically, to dance anything energetic, but we did dance a slow, sensual rumba, now I have Doris Day's song like a worm in my ear.Turned into a bee HC?![]()
That's $21 more than you had when you went to bed last night! Just don't spend it all in one place. Better yet, put it aside for your heirs' inheritanceI also woke up to an email from the North Dakota lottery saying that the ticket I purchased yesterday for the Powerball drawing (grand prize something like $250 million) had won. But I had to log in to find out the amount. It was $21, not $250 mil. But still kinda nice.
I buy one Powerball ticket every few months. I never did this until a couple of years ago because I've never really believed in lottery tickets. Seems like a waste of money to me. But you never know, right?
Just curious, how did the North Dakota Lottery know you bought a ticket? I don't play the lottery but have seen a lot of people buy them while standing in line behind them. I have never seen anyone give information that identifies them to the lottery system.I joined The Ocean Liner Society a couple of weeks ago. They provide monthly talks, and today will be my first one. The group is based in England, so I can't go in person (darn), but I can "attend" via Zoom and squeeze it in between work projects. So I'm looking forward to that.

You can actually buy them online in North Dakota via the state lottery website. That's the only reason I bought a ticket, because it's so easy to do.Just curious, how did the North Dakota Lottery know you bought a ticket?
