How are you today?

Feeling better this morning. At last.

I have stuff to do and am gonna make myself do it because sitting around here ruminating doesn't make me feel good at all. A turn around the garden should help. Eighty-nine days until spring. And the days start getting longer today. Woohoo.

Hm. I hear the garbage truck outside. Wondering why they'd be here on Tuesday before remembering that it's Monday. Oops.

Went to the mall this morning to buy a little something for my friend. It’s hard to find unscented body products. Finally found one. It’s more about the thought, since she doesn’t need things. I’ll put a meal together for them.

Even though the mall was busy, the Christmas music made me feel cheery.

Fine so far with a buncha stuff to do this morning. It's warm...51F...and supposed to be 70 and sunny today.

DSIL has been in Ohio visiting his family and comes back this afternoon.

DGD asked for a Kaluha cheesecake a few weeks ago because her BF has never had cheesecake. He's been deprived, poor guy. All the ingredients have been assembled and are just waiting for me.

Her BF got sick at work on Friday, went to urgent care, and they sent him to the ER with flu. The hospital kept him overnight. Eeek. That's pretty sick. He's been home since Saturday, better now but can't go back to work before next Monday. DGD has had both the flu and Covid shots. Yay for that.

DD's work-away-from-home job...there are only three people, the owner, his helper and DD. The helper was diagnosed with Covid on Sunday. The owner is going to close tomorrow until January 2 and was planning to go to Florida to visit his family. The usual incubation period is 2-4 days but can be as long as two weeks. No idea what he'll do now.

DD hasn't had the booster this year and worked last Thursday. She got sick Friday but tested for flu and Covid and has neither so apparently just a bad cold. She was starting to feel better yesterday, thank heaven!

So. After the cheesecake is done, there are things to do to prep for tomorrow and Christmas Day. They should keep me occupied and outta mischief.

Y'all behave if I'm not around to monitor...

She must be ok GG cuz she posted in Holly's thread.

Remember this morning I mentioned DD's boss and his helper, the only employees at her away-from-home job? The helper, who's been diagnosed with Covid, has a disabled grown son who lives with him. His son has heart and lung problems...serious enough that when he's able to go out, he has to drag his oxygen along with him.

Well, his son is in the hospital with Covid and pneumonia. Dear me. That doesn't sound good at all :(

Things I forgot to mention today:

1. I won $4 on a Powerball ticket.

2. I licked the beaters, the spatula and the bowl after I made Kaluha cheesecake this morning.

3. I'm still alive even though there were raw eggs in the cheesecake batter.

4. If I don't check in tomorrow, it's because I died during the night from #3.

I'm fine, alive and kicking and marked safe from eating cheesecake batter.

Lots of prep stuff to do this morning.

It's already 60F here. The weatherliars say we'll break a high temp record today. Sure. I'll be happy if the sun comes out. They've promised all week that we'd have warm temps and sunshine. We've had warm temps, but sunshine has been mostly missing.

Morning everyone. I remembered to pull my frozen pie for tomorrow so it will be thawed out. Looking forward to relaxing and munching on food and watching movies and likely more gaming.

Waiting to go to work. Had a telemed appt with my primary to get some anxiety meds again. Having too hard of a time to go without anymore. Part of it is a side effect of my lung medicine so there's that. Story of my life...the gal that's a hot mess. LOL!

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.
@Ruthanne if you want some company on here for a bit Christmas Day let me know.
