How are you today?

The problem with this bathroom re-do is trying to get someone who'll do it all. One place will do the vanity, but not the floor. Another place will do the floor but won't re-install a new toilet or install a new vanity.

Oh, there are places that will do it all, but usually you have to buy the stuff from them and the cost is astronomical. The advantage to that is, that they do everything in the right order.......put down the flooring and THEN install the toilet...OR... is it put down the toilet and install the flooring around it? Do you do the vanity first or the floor first. Natch, the vanity people say they should be first. Of course, they don't want to mess up a new floor putting in the vanity. Floor people say that the floor should be first. The plumber ain't talking.

The Spousal Equivalent wants to buy the flooring, vanity, sink, toilet himself and have someone install it. That could involve a lot of people, each with their hands out for money for the service call.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH! If I didn't hate the vanity and the flooring so much, I'd just stick with what I have.
LOL!!! Welcome to my world. Two and a half plus years -- kitchen, two bathrooms, roof, hot tub room (removed), more roof, windows, walls, all floors, you name it. The One Good Thing is that I live alone and there is nobody else's ideas/opinions involved so no arguments. Been there...

One small bathroom: Tile guy did the shower. Another ground down the concrete floor and later installed baseboards and trim. I laid the pebble floor. Plumber installed the vanity and toilet. Electrician did light fixture and switches. Drywall guy did ... drywall. I painted everything. I did all the planning and arranging and would now probably qualify to work as a general contractor. NO WAY!!! It took a couple of months arranging it all and waiting waiting waiting between each part of it.

I wouldn't use the same person for everything. Licensed plumber, licensed electrician, experienced tile layer, etc etc etc. And NO Weekend Warriors! I tried that. Big Mistake.

Good Luck!

Every day is a good day, we just need to figure out it's meanings and learn from the setbacks. Nothing has gone as planned today but I still have my mind, my health, and for the first time found this site and enjoy reading others comments and voicing mine as well. How is your day going?

Had a great day yesterday... Met the kids and grandkids at the (horse) racetrack. It's no more than a 1-1/2 hour freeway drive for any of us. $10 admission, kids under 18 admitted free. We all brought food to share although they do sell food there. Weather was ideal: clear and sunny with a 75° high, and we all won often enough to keep it fun.

We stayed for 7 races before packing it in and going our separate ways. We each bet $2 per race. DH & I lost a combined total of about $12, and it was likely about the same for everyone else. We mostly chose our bets based on the horse's names. No big gamblers in our family.

It was a lovely day's entertainment and excuse to gather together. The littles loved cheering our horses on as they ran by. Who doesn't? 🏇 (C'mon Dover, move your bloomin'...)

When our children were little my parents-in-law hosted an annual family day at the races, and it was always a blast. For the past few years our kids have been talking about restarting the tradition. Now that DS has set it into motion we all agreed it would be a kick in the pants to organize a date every spring. ❤️

My younger daughter brought her family over to us; what a commotion.
Of course, my 6 year old grandson and his Beagle dog were the center of attention.

My grandson throws self-made paper planes .............................................and painting is always fun.

I bought him a drone that luckily survived dozens of crashes.

Didn't get up until 8. Darned time change.

It's overcast right now and supposed to stay that way until noonish. Then sunny and more rain tomorrow.

This will come as a surprise, I know, but I've got stuff to do in the garden.

I did some stuff in the garden. Now I'm resting because...it's National Napping Day! Take advantage of this marvelous opportunity to participate :ROFLMAO: 🛌
