How are you today?

Went out earlier today and it was so lovely to not have to wear a coat!

I decided to try some new Oat drinks. I bought two - Pistachio and Maple & Hazelnut. I like oat milk in coffee but, I am hoping these ones will be nice on their own, chilled. I am not a fan of dairy milk and other alternatives always seem watery.

I also found some more stuff in the wardrobe that I no longer wear or want. The local hospice will collect it for their summer sale so, the things worth passing on won't go to waste.

I also put some washing outside earlier to dry off and it is all ready now to be put away.

It seems to have been a productive and busy day today. I think tomorrow will be busy too so, am looking forward to a more relaxed weekend :)

Hope you are all well. x

The car has been locked in the garage for a couple of days. Not because it was naughty; the darn spring broke on the door. I’d decided to take a bus already, even though the repair man arrived. Glad I did; the traffic was crazy busy.

It was a cold wind. I’m strong, I survived. Phew.

Normally clothes get donated to a favourite thrift shop. This time I was near a consignment store and took in a few things that cost too much, that I still liked, and know I’ll never wear. I may make a little bit of money.

Good Morning all folks!!! I survived another nite of Missouri Springtime
weather....I thiink all the reports on local news was about "radar indicated"
tornados, because I do not see any reports of actual touchdown!!!! GOOD!!!
We had a bunch of rain, lotsa lightning and winds, don't think I had hail here

Take care @hawkdon :)

Bit of needed rain overnight, clearing up now, so now my weeds will be happy.
This strange spring has made the Hummingbirds travel a different direction I guess.
Not seen a one hit my feeders yet, that is depressing. Still hoping though!

@hawkdon So glad you're safe and sound.

@IrishEyes Please send a little of your rain down here. On the subject of hummingbirds, we saw one on DD's patio about a week ago and none since then. That doesn't mean we don't have them yet; it just means they haven't been around when we were.

I wonder if Tornado Alley is moving a little. Maybe climate change? So far, knock wood, we haven't had any here this spring. Usually by now we're right in the middle of tornado season.

I played in the dirt so that I'd be done for the day before the heat sets in. More weeds have gone to their heavenly reward.

It's so dry here that I have to fill up the bird baths in the morning and again in late afternoon. It's not likely that the birds are drinking and bathing that much. It just evaporates. Our 60% chance of rain tonight and tomorrow is now a mere 40%.

@Georgiagranny here is the current map of sightings in the midwest to east coast. I think they need to
put some clear spaces in there :ROFLMAO: My feeder is in my sight from my window at this PC. I see everything but
hummers at my feeders. The starlings are drinking from my hummer feeders this year. ugh! Grant you I am not
here 24/7 watching but the amount of time I do spend it seems odd. I will keep watching though.

Tornado Alley has shifted.

Research indicates that the geographical center of tornado activity in the U.S. has shifted eastward over the last few decades, a trend scientists increasingly link to climate change. While the traditional "Tornado Alley" in the Great Plains still sees significant activity, a new, more active bullseye has emerged in the Deep South and Midwest.

Doing ok today except for not sleeping well last night. I will be going to get xrays of my hand and get my shot pretty soon. I don't think I'll be cooking today either.

Here's something further on it

Movement of Earth's Axis

Yes, the axis of the Earth is indeed moving. This phenomenon is primarily due to changes in mass distribution on the planet, which are influenced by various factors.

Causes of Axis Movement

  • Melting Ice Sheets: The reduction of ice mass in polar regions contributes to shifts in the Earth's mass distribution.
  • Groundwater Extraction: Human activities, such as the extraction of groundwater, have also been linked to changes in the Earth's axis.

Polar Motion

The movement of the Earth's axis is referred to as polar motion. Over the past 120 years, this axis has shifted by approximately 30 feet (10 meters). This shift is a result of the redistribution of mass caused by the factors mentioned above.

Implications

While the movement of the Earth's axis does not significantly affect daily weather or seasons, it can have broader implications for sea levels and other geological processes. Understanding these changes is crucial for monitoring climate change and its effects on the planet.

How are you fixing that?
It is complicated. My blood tests are showing a good B12 level, but that it is actually getting into my cells, at least in amounts that do any good. So, I am taking Kal brand B12 Adenosyicobalamin 1000 mcg. I take sublingual kind to bypass my digestive system.

If you are having neuropathy symptoms it would be beneficial to study about how it works for our nerves.
