How are you today?

Morning has broken. I think the rain will glue it back together. It's not raining right now, but we'll probably have spells of it here and there all day. Suits me just fine.

Still thinking about something productive to do today. There's gotta be something to do that doesn't involve cooking.

@hawkdon It's lucky for us that you're on our schedule every day 😉.

I tried to convince DD that we should make a trip to the garden center to see if there are any emotional support plants that need to come home with us. She was unmoved, pleading poverty.

Guess I'll get dressed and see if that motivates me to do something (productive).

I've got it, by Jove! I'm gonna spend the day protecting my vibe, whatever that means. I saw it on a meme on FB. Gonna do that along with the optimizing and maximizing and other stuff.

So far, I've cleaned the kitty litter box, vacuumed and sorted meds for the coming week. Oh. And toted the kitchen trash to the trash cans outside...because DD always rolls them to the curb by midday for tomorrow's pick up and our house sits on a slope. If she takes them to the curb before I empty my own trash into them, I have to walk a good way uphill to get back to The Hovel.

Turns out my son was not lonely. Got to his house, walked in and there was my Son
from California standing in the kitchen! Those 2 faked me out big time. What a surprise!
We had a late lunch of fish tacos, chatted, laughed and Ed told me he would come over in the
morning for his day with me, before he heads back to Ark. to look at some houses,
So after a great visit we came home to give the 2 brothers some bonding time alone with GF still
in Washington DC for the Memorial Ceremony. It's such a good feeling to find those 2 now connive over how
to surprise me in good ways  I feel so loved.

That is a wonderful surprise @IrishEyes
I am happy that you had a nice day with your Sons.
🤗

Turned out DD dropped off the kids yesterday, so it was just them and DH & me rather than the whole gang. It worked out well... they love coming here and we love having them. In a couple of hours DS will drop off his 2 year old for the day so we'll have some solo time with him. The grandparenting gig is pretty cool, I must say.

Perfect weather today - sunny with a high of 77°, so it won't be too hot to pop the little guy in the stroller and wander the neighborhood for a bit.

Hope all of you can make today a good one!
