No social anxiety. Fronting bands for thirty years, playing to thousands of folks, is not the way to go, for the socially anxious. I also was active in student government, was the president of various school groups, had to give speeches, arrange tours, etc. As an ordained minister, I officiated at weddings, in front of hundreds of folks. No problems with that.
One time I actually had shaky knees: On a dare, I stripped at a local gals' club in town. I was in the onstage booth, waiting to bust out, when they cued up my tune and called my name. My knees were literally knocking together. Weird. They called me out. I got in the spotlight, and danced my butt off. When I dropped my suit pants, a woman jumped up, screaming with wild abandon. That, I'll always remember.
My mom and dad were very outgoing. I think it rubbed off on me, but not my sister. Interesting.
