How Did You Sleep?

Went to bed at 7 PM, propped up with pillows to watch TV. Fell asleep at unknown time, but then wide awake by 9:30, turned off TV. Hungry, got up had a cookie, back to bed, tossed and turned for an hour, so I turned TV back on, then got interested in old Perry Mason show. That wasn't supposed to happen - I thought I'd get sleepy - so I lost another hour until show was over. Finally fell asleep sometime after midnight, then wide awake by 3:15 AM. Couldn't go back to sleep, so got up at 4 AM and took my morning shower. This is how a bunch of nights have gone lately.
Ugh, that sounds literally exhausting. :(

I saw the sleep study doc to see if their study could possibly explain why I get terrible pain in my ankles and my sinuses and ears when i sleep. We talked for quite awhile( I think he was from the east somewhere...India, or the Middle East.) He was concerned but he said he had never heard of this. He is about 50.

So, that exhausts my 3 year search for a reason. Now I am removing as many RX meds as I safely can taper, and hope the pain leaves as the meds leave. :)
You must be so frustrated. Hoping for you that the reduction in meds helps. :)

About 9.5-ish hours of "okay" sleep last night. I was dozing for the last hour of it - you know, when you're sleeping but you're aware that you're sleeping? I don't love that. Overall, not bad, though.

I fall asleep by 9:30 or so, no matter what's on TV. Wake up at 12:30 like a fireman and go take a shower. Up at four for the traditional pee break and then up at 7. GROUNDHOG DAY!
Days are busy with two jobs so a lot of my life is structured around what needs to be done. I suppose at 9 or so my body blows the quitting time whistle and that's it. My mind shuts down at 9 so problems of the day don't continue to bother me. When I wake up they will be there so I guess I rest in that. Don't know, just my thoughts. Wish you all a good nights sleep ;)

Having worked night shift close to 30 years, staying up with my husband for for all kinds of hours when he was alive, and being on a water pill have probably all contributed to my going to bed at odd hours and having to get up at least a couple of times a night to go to the bathroom. I have started taking Melatonin most nights. It doesn't put me to sleep, but once I'm asleep, I sleep well until I have to go to the bathroom.

The problem with Melatonin is, I wake up hung over slightly plus I hate putting chemicals in my body. I have a sleep study interview next week before I can take a sleep study test my pulmonologist ordered. I hope I pass it because I don't think I'd do well with a c-pap. I think I breathe okay at night, it's just I'm a shallow breather. Oh well...I'll wait and see what the sleep study doctor thinks.

I can relate, Pappy. My badk freezes up when I sleep so It takes a while before I can make the journey to the bathroom and by that time I am wide awake.

I get the expected back pain and strange ankle pain but no sinus trouble, I do wonder what the ankle pain is about.
