How do you feel about birthdays as you get older?

Just another day for me at almost 93 and now it seems my family.
Note that governments here in Canada don't provide any special assistance.
Everything is geared to age 65, 75 in which of course we are already included

I have yet to see anything special happen for 90 plus and some of us could use it.
It's seems like we just don't exist.

Yeah, I usually remember it's my birthday, but it's just another day.

These days I do think of it as another but I do appreciate all who do go out of there way to give me birthday greetings . The greetings do add something special to what would be just another ordinary day.

Around 20 years ago I came to a conclusion that a younger person should celebrate their birthday up until their 18th birthday. After that, that date should be treated as an extra "unofficial" Mother's Day for the mother. She did all the hard work !

My boys like to spoil me by taking me out to dinner and my sisters always ring, and of course friends always ring, but apart from
that it doesn't matter anymore. My dad always loved to have a birthday cake with candles and mum just wanted to have her girls around her.

I have been a loner all my life. Other than my immediate family who know my birthday by heart, I never annouce my birthday to anyone.

I do not announce my birthday online but always enjoy it, my darling daughter always spoils me with a lovely card, gifts and a special meal, as I do her

Dinner of choice for whoever birthday it is. No party, no gifts (we have enough crap) grandkids enjoy making us cards.

My service for the company i worked for was 25 years and only 2 people knew what day my birthday fell on.
