A doubleMedium rare, boneless ribeyes.
And BTW, I want my steaks well done, and with ketchup.I want my steak well done, and then some. I don't care if some chef has a coronary about "well done". Since I'm paying for it; the restaurant is there to satisfy me, and not the peccadillos of the chef.

I've noticed that steaks, along with other meats, are not tasting nearly as good as the same thing did some years ago (maybe decades ago?) In any case, perhaps that's why you were so disappointed. These days, seems you have to go to a butcher and spend a small fortune to get a great (aged) steak to get the type of flavor I remember from days gone by.Medium rare, but I've been losing my desire for meat. I've disliked hamburger more and more in the last 20 years, I recently bought three steaks, filet mignon and two sirloin tips, thinking this might spice up my diet. I was disappointed. The last filet I had before this was 6 years ago, and I enjoyed it. I'll try one at a restaurant sometime and see if it was just me.
This has been my speculation also. For hamburger, all the chains carry it pre packaged, probably from large meat companies that are maximizing profits by throwing in grizzle, bone chips, and maybe that that stuff called pink slime that created a big scandal a few years ago. For steaks, that would not be the case, so I wonder if my taste buds have changed or they are putting something in the feed to make them fatter, but with a side effect of less taste.... Like what's happened to today's tomatoes.I've noticed that steaks, along with other meats, are not tasting nearly as good as the same thing did some years ago (maybe decades ago?)
