How do you make your bed?

I don’t, but my wife does a great job and I tell her so. I do help put on a change of linens twice a week.

I have a queen size bed and also use a king sized comforter because it is tall. In the summer I use a much thinner quilt. I have to have two pillows on the bed because one of my doggies likes to sleep on a pillow. If I don’t give her own pillow, I wake up and we are sharing mine, which means I am mostly off my pillow while she enjoys it🤣.

Comforter in winter, light blanket in summer. Flat sheet under that, fitted sheet on the mattress. Pillows in pillow cases, both covered by a single "body pillow" which exactly fits across the bed.

I pull the flat sheet up to the pillows then fluff up the pillows. Next I pull up the comforter and straighten it and tuck it in the base of the bed along with the flat sheet.

I leave the pillows on top. Tucking them in does nothing for me. I don't use a bedspread because I have a Hudson's Bay wool blanket on each bed, and I get pleasure out of seeing them. That makes it worthwhile to do a semi making of the beds.

Hotel style for me. Fitted and flat sheet, lightweight cotton blanket on top of that.

Bedspread next and a duvet folded in thirds across the bottom of the bed. Sleep pillows propped against the headboard, shams matching the bedspread propped against the pillows, then 4 decorative cushions in a line, alternating patterns, followed by a complementary patterned smaller cushion in front.

Oh. And I “chop” the 4 decorative cushions for added effect.

I chop the cushions on the couch too.
