How far south is the air quality affected

The sky has been grayish white here in Northern Ohio for days. I know I'm not south but just saying it's been rough here. I had to go back inside quick yesterday.

Looks a little better today as the sun is trying to break through the haziness. I felt sick to my stomach yesterday after being out there. The weather people are saying it will get more clear today. I hope so.

This is a map from yesterday ..Tuesday

I haven't noticed anything yet, but the weather heads say our air quality isn't good and to stay indoors if you have asthma, COPD or other breathing problems or if you're elderly. I'm "elderly" but since I haven't noticed any change, I'll be darned if I'll stay in the house.

It's bad in NE PA. The sky has an eerie quality with a slight tinge of red from the sun. It might be giving us preview of what our planet's atmosphere could become if we don't pay attention to how we multitude of humans affect this planet we live on.
Central part of the state, too, @Chet . It smells like dozens of wood burners going at the same time. The sun going down last night was beautiful... but eerie like you said... an unnatural looking orangy/red.

Yeah, it's smoky here, you can smell it, and can see it hanging in the air. I was going to do yard work today but that'll have to wait until it clears up. This is terrible. I hope our Canadian friends are okay.
